"Secret Invasion" is an upcoming Marvel Disney+ Series that is said to follow a group of shape-shifting aliens who have been infiltrating Earth for years. The series stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, and Emilia Clarke. The series plans to shoot this fall in the U.K. and other parts of Europe.

Honestly never heard of those guys but I'm sure they'll do well. Feige hasn't really failed when it comes to hiring directors except for maybe Shane Black for Iron Man 3 and Alan Taylor for Thor 2. Probably the two most divisive MCU movies.

I have no hype for this because the ruined the skrulls. the skrulls are villains and the captain marvel movie made them sympathetic people with out a home. they are now no longer considered a threat to the audience. It wont be like in the comics where we find out who of our heroes were secretly skrulls for years. it wont have the same punch.

Thinking about the Secret Invasion and how it will be a D+ TV show now makes me realize that the secret invasion won't be the theme for the eventual Avengers 5 (whenever it comes out).

Nope and this should have been an event that was lead up to over the years not just done as a tv show.

The problem with making half the Avengers secretly Skrulls is that we've seen them put their lives in danger over and over again for the greater good. That would be some pretty deep cover for a Skrull.

It would also lessen the audience's appreciation of their (near-) sacrifices.

But, if Skrulls really were that committed to deep cover. Then the dead Avengers could have been Skrulls and the ones we thought dead are in suspended animation somewhere.... again, cheapening the audience's investment in the character.

Secret Skrulls would have to be ancillary characters or recently-replaced characters.

So... Christopher McDonald played a character named Goose in Grease 2. And now he's in Secret Invasion - a story about Nick Fury and the Skrulls. When Fury first met the Skrulls, he was accompanied by a Flerken named Goose.

Coincidence? I think not!

Hence, I conclude... Christopher McDonald is playing a Flerken!!!
