Does anyone know that super-cool Disney World book that's a year by year journey"? I know that the latest edition was 1998...does anyone know if another version is out or if a new one will come out in the future?

Muchas gracias! :)

No, no no...

It's like a guidebook, but it's not really, more like a history book.

The beginning of the book dealt with the future and the end of the book dealt with 1971. Throughout, it had all of the years of WDW with sections on the years. It's the size of a regular hard cover guidebook and had Mickey and a couple other characters on the front with confetti behind them.

I'm looking for ya. You can probably find it on Amazon.com :)

No, no. It's called 'WALT DISNEY WORLD - A YEAR BY YEAR JOURNEY'...They sold it at the parks...but not anymore...but that was the 1998 edition, and I was looking to see if they are going to come out with a new edition. Thanks for your help, though. :D

Bring back to life an old corpse, has Disney released a new one? I have the 1998 one, and it finishes (or starts) right on AK's construction. It sure is a nice book. Not for facts, though, more for pics. This is where I got to know Mickey Mouse Revue, and it says stuff like WoM is no more, it gave way to TT, all these little tidbits.

Did a quick Google Search---Walt Disney World Resort: A Magical Year by Year Journey ISBN:0786863862. Is this the book you have? It looks Very interesting. There dosen't seem to be any newer issues though. Article says it's no longer in print, but may still be available in WDW shops.

I know what you're talking about. We have a copy of it too. Since we bought it at the parks, and we couldn't find it anywhere else, we assumed it would only be sold at the parks. We have been looking for the next one everytime we go. It has been 5 years, so it should be coming soon.

Yes, GREAT BOOK! I really love all of the photos and dedication it has to the past. If only they could do it with media!!! :D

True, this book is much like the old Walt Disney World Explorer. If Disney was smart, they'd release updates online for the Explorer, along the lines of what Microsoft did with Cinemania.

Then again, they'd probably CHARGE us the price of a new CD just to get the updates, so maybe it's not a good idea after all...

I got that book at the Beach Club, and you know, I think I got it so late (like, in 1999 or 2000) that it was only like $10 or something. It's a great book, a new edition would be great.

 I got mine around the same time, at the CM exclusive discount tents... Cost me, like, 5 bucks or something...

I got mine at an outdoor Disney tent in a parking lot...not sponsored by Disney, I don't think - but it had hundreds of beanies and books at almost half-off...

I've looked for "Since the World Began" on both as well, and although eBay prices are good, most of them won't ship internationally, and the one that will charges 20 bucks! So I'll probably be getting it at Amazon anyways, I think it's 25 bucks or so.

Got my Since the World Began as a flex feature during the 25th anniv. I love that book and the kids read it all the time. (esp when a trip gets close!)

18 more days to WDW!:sohappy:
