SeaWorld: Loses continue, CEO steps down

I think that a balance of rides/shows/animal exhibits are very important for the future of the park...but I think with a park named SEA World, maybe they should start a focus on Sea Travels, adventures, etc. build a submarine adventure style dark ride...down to the depths of the ocean. Or how about a classic pirate battle ride where a Kraken or shark attack you? All that Jules Verne/Steampunk nautical aesthetic could be a really cool direction to take parts of the park. There's nothing wrong with the big steel coasters, animal habitats, and the conservation stuff, bit with as immersive as lands and rides are getting at the competition, maybe it's time to try a different direction.

How are they bleeding guests? SeaWorld is a bargain compared to Disney and Universal

One example - you could view baby dolphins being fed last year (though you had to pay to buy fish to feed them). It was one of the highlights of the park - getting so close to the dolphins.

This year they blocked the area off, meaning you had to pay to just VIEW them up close. The only viewing now is through a glass wall.

That type of upcharge leaves a bad taste.

Except for the fact they roped off Dolphin Cove because of people being stupid. And no, you don't have to pay to view them up close (you just pay to do the tour)
