Here are a few fun pics I took on Monday, they show progress on the SDMT and a picture behind one of the new monitors at the end of IASW. Plus I also found this interesting, on the down ramp being loaded onto IASW they had a video monitor/maybe touchscreen covered with this piece of paper.

Mine Train Pics / Drop from big lift hill, looks pretty fun

You mentioned "on the down ramp being loaded onto IASW they had a video monitor/maybe touchscreen covered with this piece of paper", is that this picture?

With the screen bordered with black tape, was this intended for public consumption or did you lift up a "piece of paper" that was covering it?

Thanks!

I look at the Mine Car construction and am glad someone understands how to build that because all it looks like is a ton of metal pieces in no such pattern...
I'm so glad someone else feels this way. It's just a big jumble to me too, and I have 24 years of house construction experience. There appears to be zero similarity in the two processes.

All I can picture is a "Simpsons" style moment when the engineers turn the first train loose, watch it travel the track for several hundred feet and then crash into the ground where the track just ends into dead air having never been able to get ALL the pieces to go together.

the turn after the main lift on the mine train looks like it'll give the trains some pretty good swinging!
Yes, this ride looks like it won't be like it was claimed: "Goofy's Barnstormer but a tad better"! Maybe they're downplaying expectations so that it will get great reviews once it opens?
