And the verdict is...

Scott Peterson is guilty of first degree murder (for Laci) and second degree murder (for their son). Unananymous decision was done in 6 hours. For the first degree murder of Laci Peterson, Scott can recieve 25 years to life with a chance of parole. He can also get life without parole or the death penalty for the first degree murder of Laci.

As a result of the findings, there will be a penalty phase of the case that will last no longer than one week. It will start on November 22 and should finish by November 29.

This is just for all of you that didn't see it on the news yet or haven't heard it.

A follow up will come on November 30th after the judge releases the penalities.

what is his name again? I'm sick and tired of hearing his name. Hopefully after his sentencing his name would be heard less and less. Not likely seeing the defendent will try to repeal. :hurl: Give him the chair and then we will never hear from him again.

With all the shake ups that happened with the jury this past week... I'm kinda surprised that the verdict came down so quickly.

I'm glad he's guilty. I had a funny feeling in the pit of my gut that it had been him who had done it. After a while, I started to doubt myself, but after the news said he had an affair with another person, I reinstated that he did it. I'm greatful that he's going behind bars, or having the death penalty. Lots of times, people are like this in the universe, and sometimes, things that those kind of people is just sick. Reality kicks you in the behind, and even though people do that everyday to other people, it's just different when it's a married couple; it's you hard to realize that someone in a relationship does that, that's a bad thing of betrayal. I'm just glad that this is finally over.

I'm very happy with this outcome because it was pretty obvious that he did it and we wouldn't want another O.J. now would we?

Scott Peterson is a sick man, he deserves to be in prison...

He deserves a HELLUVA lot worse than just prison. At least his fellow inmates will give him the proper welcoming...

Damn, Laci deserved a lot better!!!!!! :fork:

I think he needs a lot more than just going to prison. I hope he gets death row and doesn't last long either. Anyone that sick to go and kill two people deserves the death penalty. He has shown no emotion since her dissappearance and doesn't seem to care about anything, so why should he care to live any longer himself? God will be the ultimate judge in this and decide his fate.

RIP Laci and Conner!

I say let him live with his inmate "friends" for a while. They will know exactly how to treat him for the remainder of his stay!!!!!!!
