Say Goodbye to Super Soap Weekends

Well, maybe that's a silver lining. If the crowds were getting worse and worse, then ABC scheduling a mini-tour with the stars, coming to you, will afford some people the luxury of scheduling a trip outside of that very narrow time frame. With Star Wars Weekends, at least the crowds could conceivably be spread out over the coure of 4 to 6 weeks.

And if this means some people don't go to WDW next year...GOOD! MORE PEOPLE OUT OF MY DAMN WAY!!!!

Yep.

Good riddance to another poorly conceived concept for WDW. It's decisions like this that prove there are still a few people in management who have good insticts. Now if only they would relocate that hat!

oh well....Ive never really gotten into Super Soap Weekends anyways.... so I guess I never will....its never really been a big deal to me! I agree though Star Wars Weekends are huge and would be something to be upset over

That's actually kind of surprising.

Super Soaps is huge.

People start lining up at the parking lot usually around midnight.

I always avoid Hollywood on those days, but never really had a problem with crowds during Star Wars...

Just sayin' lol.

Wow...this is kinda sad for at least our family. I've been to several of these events and it's always been tons of fun. I'll never forget the excitement of the first year that we went when we walked into the studios and immediately heard the theme song from AMC...oh well...memories...lol :lol:

In all honesty, it's sad that it won't be happening anymore. And it makes me a bit sad that we're going to miss it this year (our last chance) in exchange for our October trip.

Several events throughout the year is kind of a better idea though. Last year SSW was insanely packed. It's like every year was worse crowd-wise. It was starting to lose its fun-ness factor because there were so many people...which is part of why we opted not to go this year.
