All of the legal negotions and corporate mudslinging would no doubt have gone much smoother had the lawyers for the joint owners known that a handful of people on the internet were upset about it all.

Uhm.... no.

Uhm.... no.

So what if it won't work? At least we can say we tried something.

There are more productive things we can try, like writing real letters to real people. It carries a lot more weight than a bunch of e-mail addresses.

No doubt, real letters work much more than just signing an internet petition, but along with that, it takes, like, 5 seconds to sign an online petition.

The Disney/Dreamworks dispute goes down to a corporate AND personal level..no petition no matter HOW long will ever make those 2 see eye to eye ever again.

Yeah, right!

I'm STILL confident that we will get those 2 to see eye to eye again.

Corporate and personal levels...such differences can be so petty...and we're trying to stop that!

Please stop the pessimism and at least try to have faith in me and my petition--it MAY succeed...believe in it!

real petitions...yes.......

...the internet still has no credability...

...and as for my pessimism...do your research on the history of Dreamworks vs Disney....you'll see why im very doubtfull on this issue getting resolved.

I've done research. I know what's going on and I created the petition to try and get them to knock it off.

Please sign the "Save Roger Rabbit" petition anyway...it may have at least some success.

If we have no success...well, we can at least say that we made an effort. It's better to try than not to try at all.

Some people, like you NowInc, NEED to be more optimistic. If you're not optimistic, the chances of something good happening will become even more unlikely.

Give me and my petition a chance, please.

Well Now has a point....a hundred petitions like this have already happened, and do absolutely nothing.

It' has nothing to do with pessimistic, and everything to do with being realistic.

Sometimes business gets in the way..

Besides...i'm betting 99 percent of americans don't much care if he returns or not.

Corporations don't listen. Simple as that. Unless the petition damages their image seriously, such as boycotts against them for allowing unofficial "gay days" (purists. How I loath them) etc. etc. Anything having to do with discrimination, product faults, subliminal images, etc. Its that type of sensationalism that gets the media involved.

Just being mad cause they won't stop destroying a ride or won't use a character you like (Save Mr. Toad, anyone?) is not going to make them budge, unless it hurts them publicly. Trust me, I'm a big fan of Roger Rabbit and I remember when MGM studios opened, and they were plugging him left and right and Roger was in all the parades. I'm usually for ambitious attempts, but you've got to think realistic. You can't impeach the president with 350 internet signatures, so how you going to get a multi-billion dollar corporation that owns tv, movies, theme parks, books, and every cute intellectual property on the planet to start using a character that they a.) only hold half the rights to and b.) can only get steven spielberg to sign off on. Mind you, Dreamworks creates movies like Shrek and Spirit which are to draw customers AWAY from Disney movies.

I don't want to kill your spirit, but don't waste your time and become disappointed in the end. I'd love to start a "Build Beastly Kingdom" campaign, but that won't do anything either.

THIS IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME!

Just sign the petition, please.

Sketch105, I think you should start your "Build Beastly Kingdom" campaign anyway--it may have at least some success! Have confidence...maybe they WILL listen.

Just because some previous petitions failed doesn't mean that others won't fail.

So...stop it, sign the petition and pray that Disney and Spielberg will listen to us all and revive that rabbit and his co-stars!

I am usually one of the most optomistic people around....
BUT!
If you really had done your research, and Im not saying you didnt....You would have a better understanding of just how DEEP this is...
And No corporation is going to listen to a Petition on the internet... even REAL letter writing hasnt had much success...
And besides...
The ride is down more often than up...there are some flaws there, and something running more efficiently would benefit the park....
Its a corporate matter. Spielberg isnt going to lose sleep over it...
Ultimately it is up to Disney to do what they want with the ride....Its theirs.

...if only this were an ideal world...sadly..money has much more power than petitions...and corporate fueds go unsettled for long LONG periods of time....youd need about 30 million signatures for them to even acknoledge your existance..and then about another 50 million more to make them start to care...

Correction...I created that petition to try and save the Roger Rabbit characters from legal limbo, so they can appear in new projects.

I know Disneyland's Roger ride isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I wish they'd copy it at WDW...and build the whole "Roger Rabbit's Hollywood" area that they proposed for the Disney-MGM Studios years ago.
