Hurricane Sandy is coming towards where I live, and I'm ready. It has a good chance that it hits my town of King of Prussia, PA. I'm ready! Bring it on, Hurricane Sandy!

I'm about 10 blocks from the beach and the current projections have it coming right for me. I have a feeling I do not need these 2 giant bags of Halloween candy anymore.

Everyone be safe. Having suffered through Hurricane Ike while we lived in Texas, I can understand how frustrating and life impacting these things can be.

Everyone make sure to check in after the storm!

Stay safe! I am currently staying with some friends in Occoquan, Virginia (It's about 20 minutes outside of DC when traffic is good) and I think we tried to buy out the store of food and water. Praying for everyone that will be caught in the storm.

Early projections have us picking up right around 4" of rain and an unknown amount of snow right now. White Halloween anyone?

We had this exact scenario last year. Halloween was basically canceled. Then we were left with no power for a week (and we were among the lucky ones). I hope for your sake it's not that bad.

We're in western Connecticut, where we'll be spared the rain but will get slammed with wind and storm surge flooding. Some of the scenarios for areas like NYC are scary. Our power company has told us to expect 70% of customers to loose their power and to expect it to be out for a week. On top of this, my MIL was just hosptialzed with a stroke, and my sister is in the ICU with a very serious illness, so I have to get back and forth to the hospital and stay in constant communication with family. The term "perfect storm" just scratches the surface for us.

Stay safe everyone.

i might have to work tomorrow but hopefully my boss will realize no one will come out. The storm doesn't look as bad in RI with rain. It's just the storm surge and winddddddddy

Good luck! I was near there last winter visiting Villanova University.

Here in the DC suburbs they've cancelled school for Monday and Tuesday, and the Fed Govt. is closed Monday. My employer closes when the Feds do, so I get a day off tomorrow instead of having to attend a boring all-day conference. Tomorrow afternoon is supposed to be the worst of the storm here, if the forecast is right.

Here is what the surf looks like right now in NJ... I am under a voluntary evacuation so I just have to monitor the lake 4 blocks north of me and be ready to bail. During Irene it went up 2 blocks.

Everyone try to stay safe out there.

Just got a text from my daughter (Brooklyn) and she's in for the duration. They went out to get supplies on Friday, so missed the rush.
