Sandcastle Retreat?

I was reading Beach Club reviews and a recent one mentioned a newly opened Sandcastle Retreat that offered crafts ect..for kids to work on. Anyone know if this is the old kids club repurposed as a sorta community room?

This is exactly what the old kids club looked like at AKL when I was there last weekend for a race.

I didn’t stop by but there were signs explaining the daily activities that were taking place in Simba’s Clubhouse. Like tie dying, coloring, painting etc

I gotta say I'm really happy about this, not getting my hopes up too much as they ate obviously not promoting it because they might not keep it around.

I think it is a nice location to have family and group activities. I did not use it at AKL, but I like that I had the option too.

Btw, the culture representatives at AKL are PHENOMENAL. I could have talked and shared stories all day.

If I had not stayed at AKL twice already I would be there lol. I even bought into DVC but now I wanted to try a new spot so Beach Club it is.

Oh AKL is my least favorite Deluxe however I love the Cast there!! Hope you enjoy Beach Club.

Really? Some hate how its disconnected but I really like it after a day in the parks..but Inalso always have a car

The lobby is gorgeous and the Representatives were amazing. Jiko is super. But Mara was always SO understaffed with super long lines and the pool was pretty weak. Not deal breakers tho.

I’m more coastal/tropical than Serengeti/bush hahaha. Really just a theme preference mostly, that’s all. I enjoyed it otherwise.

I get it. Next time try the pool area at Kidani. Pretty good especially with kids. You can go to the pool bar and watch river hogs snuff around!
