Salute to All Things but MOSTLY Politics

Ignoring Russia and just focusing on Iran, is like taking time to squash some ants instead of dealing with the rhino about to run you over.
Where did anybody say ignore Russia? Frankly, they are both dangerous. The left didn’t give Russia two thoughts when Romney was giving the warning...but I find their concern now to be strictly political and not at all genuinely about national security. And yes, Iran is every bit as dangerous as Russia.

A fellow poster, and Donald Trump.
No Iran is not every bit as dangerous as Russia. Seriously.

One of the more common tactics of socialist communism is to restrict the flow of information in order to control the content of information by claiming misinformation is being removed.

Good grief. It's known disinformation. GRU is not afforded free speech rights.

Good grief. You know disinformation when you see it. Do you need someone to censor it out for you?

Or are you smarter than that?

When you were in grade school and one of your classmates told you a bug tasted like a jelly bean and you tried it and found out it wasn't true, did you put tape over his or her mouth for the rest of the school year? Or did you learn to filter what sound waves hit your ears or images were presented to your eyes?

And a common tactic of fascist is to demonize opponents with absurd claims.

That is true as well - and easily recognizable.

Is anyone pollyannish enough to believe they will rid the world of both?

Or does one learn how to distinguish, identify, avoid, address?

Do you prefer a world in which Yahoo! won't let you comment on their content because they may not like what you say? Or Twitter or Facebook or Instagram or TicTok ban you because of what you post? Would you prefer to live in a world where everyone agrees with you and you can believe everything you hear?

I'm sorry, but it just doesn't work that way. I don't endorse misinformation or fascism or any other undesirable communicative aspect of society, but trying to remove it by suppression is a fool's mission. Rather, one must learn to properly identify it and not let it influence them.

Evidently not.
Where in the world IS Hunter Biden?

My bet is he's working diligently at multiple jobs in order to pay all that child support for the child he never had with the stripper he was never with while he was married.

Because, you know....that was all Trump's fault.

Ooops.

US military policy for the last 70 years would disagree with you.
Danger isn’t exclusive to military action.

But, if you would like to concentrate on military power, we know now that while the USSR was seen as a military powerhouse and bogeyman for years, the truth was their equipment was flat out junk during the Cold War. Decrepit runways, facilities...you name it. The Soviet philosophy of quantity over quality was very evident...and that has carried over to Russia as well.

Given the percent of republicans that believe this stuff, we may need more lessons.

Are you implying that only republicans are vulnerable? Because you yourself just inadvertently provided false information. But I'm not going to put you on ignore or report you or insist you edit or remove it. I'm simply comfortable with the fact that I recognize it and don't believe it.

And that's how it should work.
