RUMOR WATCH: Indiana Jones stuntshow on the chopping block ?

DHS used to be one of my favorite parks because of the random interactions with the CM's, Now it's just a hollow shell. The buzz says 'something big is coming', I'm an engineer and I deal in cold hard facts, The fact is attractions have closed and NOTHING has been announced to replace them, Therefore my working assumption based on official data is that there is NOTHING planned for the immediate future.

The technology industry has a term for what's going on at DHS it's called 'Vaporware' lots of buzz, rumors fanboi speculation but in the end it's just an ethereal dream.

Will there be something in the next 5-10 years, probably. But right now If I were a betting man I think an in-park DVC is more likely than new attractions.

My 0.02 YMMV

You would be surprised DW missed as did most of the family, But I'm the only real indy fan in the bunch even wear a fedora sometimes.
It's in plains sight, any hardcore fan of Raiders like myself would have easily caught it. I marked out when I saw the Ark. I don't care what anyone says about the film but I really enjoyed Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and those little Easter eggs (like the Ark) were a part of it.

Exactly that's what made it fun, Loved the fencing scene and the 'old married couple' act by Indy and Marian. Also loved Indy answering questions while on motorcycle 'You have to get out of the library!'

I like the show but all signs are pointing to a huge renovation of DHS and if this area helps in creating something bigger and better for the park, I'm all for seeing it go.

I'd obviously love to see the Indiana Jones ride from Disneyland in this area but that's likely nothing more than a pipe dream. If it goes, expect to see this area be a part of the upcoming Star Wars land. And that's just fine with me.

Yeah, the show has run it's course. Would love to see the Indiana Jones Adventure from DL replace it (and I will seriously end the next person who says "but we already have the same ride and it's called Dinosaur!") but we all know that sadly won't happen and it will probably be replaced by "Temple of the Forbidden Frozen."

The question is, how much more can they afford to close before they start opening new stuff.

The thing is, they know that the only time they have to officially announce what they're planning to build is when they officially announce the closure of a BELOVED attraction (look at the Maelstrom closure/Frozen announcement). They'll be able to close attractions such as the Backlot Tour, Jack Sparrow and Indiana Jones stunt show while keeping their plans close to the chest for the time being. The public won't bat an eyelid usually.

They'll announce their plans and they'll announce it along with the new name for the park, whenever that is.

Yes. It's on the chopping block. Star Wars has to go somewhere.

From the opposing point of view, Why do you assume TDO is going to do a 'Star Wars' land, All Iger said was there will be an increased PRESENCE in the 'PARKS' not specifically DHS or even US based parks.

It's also possible that DHS will be the site of the first in park DVC and DHS will become a 'festival' park.
