Rope drop at Epcot

Hello everyone have a question that I can’t really figure out even though I’ve been a million times. We are staying at yacht club and are thinking of rope dropping Epcot in June because we are hearing rumors that guardians of the Galaxy may be open by then. Here is my question? It seems like there is an advantage to rope drop from the main entrance rather than the countries entrance near the beach and yacht club. Does anyone know if they allow you in earlier from the back of the park entrance near all the countries to allow you to get to the front of the park? It seems like you’d be a good 10 to 15 minutes behind the rope droppers at the main entrance if you had to walk the whole park to get up to guardians of the galaxy? Thanks for any help everybody appreciate it

Since you are staying at the Yacht Club, you are allowed in 30 minutes prior to park opening. The CMs have always had ropes to stop people from getting to certain attractions after the park opens, which should give you enough time to get there similar to the front crowd.

I wouldn’t want to spend my 30 minutes of pre-park opening just walking to the front it might be worth driving and getting on that ride right at that first minute of the 30 minutes

Dave, your concern may be a moot point if Guardians opens with Boarding Groups. 😉

Is there not a bus from Yacht Club to the main entrance of Epcot? I don't know the answer but you might want to look into that. Otherwise, you could take an Uber to the front entrance. If you really wanted to, you could go to a non-Epcot Disney resort (maybe for breakfast?) and then take their transportation to the front entrance. Would have to get an Uber there or bus to Springs then bus to the other resort.

I don't know what time the parking lots open, but we stayed at AKL a few weeks ago and took the bus to the front entrance of Epcot. We were there there way early for early theme park entry. To your point, by the time we walked to Ratatouille at the back fo the park there was already a long line, probably from the resort entrance people. So if your priority is to be there super early for Guardians (given it's open), you might want to consider trying to get to the front entrance somehow.

When we stayed at YC, there was neither bus to EP or HS. Your options were boat/walk (with the exception of a day when it flooded at HS during a torrential downpour and lightening was occurring; the boats were not operating from HS at that time and buses were running).

I appreciate it we will have a car so we can drive to the front entrance if needed just trying to figure it out ahead of time but like Tuvala said will probably need a boarding pass so it might not matter thank you for everybody’s input
