Hello!

We are quickly approaching our weekend trip and was wondering if anyone could tell me what type of requests I should note on my reservation (higher floor, lower floor, etc.). We will be in a deluxe studio standard view room. Usually I just choose from the options on online check in, but since that isnt an option any longer, i'm not even sure what options there are. We will only be there for 1 night before heading to POR for the next 2 nights.

We will be in a preferred room at POR. I think I am going to request a corner room since I loved having the 2 windows when we stayed last year. Does anyone have an additional room request I should ask for at POR?

Thanks in advance!

At AKL, ask for a partial savanna view. There are lots of rooms that are on the savanna but they might have a pole or something that obstructs the view so they classify it as "standard." It's a less-than-perfect view, but it's a way to be on the savanna without paying for the upgrade. I've had lots of luck with this at Jambo house, never tried it at Kidani.

I haven't stayed at AKL yet so I'm no help there. Just know that the preferred rooms at Riverside are close to the lobby and the south depot. The south depot is the last bus stop for the theme parks so sometimes the wait will be longer or the bus will be full by the time it gets there. I think they recently changed it so that there are 2 MK buses in the mornings: one, which goes only to the south depot, and the other that follows the usual route of west depot, north depot, east depot, and south depot. Disney Springs stops at the south depot first. Also, if you have young children or if anyone has a handicap, make sure to request a ground floor room since the rooms in the Alligator Bayou section don't have elevators. The mansion buildings do but not the AB section. In 2016, I requested a room in Alligator Bayou close to the west depot and loved it!!! Our room was only a 2 minute walk away and the bus was always empty when it got to us. It was fantastic!! It only took us 3 prior trips to Riverside to find out what worked for us :)
