Room Keys, Park Tickets, WL, RFID

Headed to Wilderness Lodge on August 14th. We are booked with a cast member discount in a room only rate. We bought tickets from AAA (Park Hoppers). The AAA tickets are plastic, but I don't believe they are the RFID versions. They do have a magnetic stripe on back, but have a 9/12 date printed on them.

I have a couple questions:

1) Are all the WL rooms using the new RFID entry?

2) I thought you couldn't do this in the past, but does Disney allow you to transfer your tickets (in our case the AAA tickets) onto our RFID room keys? If so, who/where can we do this?

3) If we can't transfer the tickets to the room keys, I'm assuming we can transfer these non RFID tickets to the new RFID tickets correct? Where is the best place to do this?

4) Are the newer RFID tickets still inserted into the Fastpass machines like before?

if there are needs - Disney will simply claim your tickets and transfer the entitlements to new RFID cards. Anything to do with the hotel rooms, you'll simply do at the hotel desk. You should be able to handle all of these questions at check-in.

And yes, the new cards are used in the fastpass machines as before.

A very nice CM took my AAA tickets and converted them to rfid while waiting on line to get into SWW!

That's great to hear, because in years past they didn't transfer them.

I went to guest assistance to ask a question before the sun came up and mentioned I had just gotten into town and he asked to see my tickets and offered to switch them for me. Hope this helps

You can convert to RFID cards but you will not be able to add them to you KTTW card with your room on it, etc.

Thanks. Kinda figured they wouldn't. Guess we'll just transfer to new RFID cards.

YW!! Yeah it sucks you cannot add them! we tried last dec and could not and also we have some for this year(not AAA but tickets we got when joining DVC) and we wont be able to yet again. Love when everything is all on one card but oh well. Lol
You can convert to RFID at any guest relation area like at the park entrances and downtown Disney etc. Some are told the concierge can do it at the hotels but some said they tried and couldn't do it with them. So you best bet it to do it at one of the parks or Downtown Disney.
