My wife is on a Coeliac diet. Just to make things complicated she's also a vegetarian. Does anyone know which restaurants will cater for her. September will be our 6th visit and we are staying at the Dolphin. We usually eat a lot at the Rain Forest Cafe at the Market place, the staff are great. Does anyone else know of good places to eat if your on a Coeliac diet especially in the parks. She normally stick to Garden Salads to be on the safe side.

Hope someone can help!

Cheers!

Celiac disease involves an inability to digest the gluten, a protein, found in grain products. Symptoms are gastrointestinal in nature - nausea, diarrhea, vomiting. This means no bread. I can't imagine how hard it would be to have this problem.

I would try to call the restaurants ahead of time if you know where you want to eat and when. I've found Disney to be pretty good at catering to guests needs.

GOOD LUCK

I have to agree with everyone else here. While I don't know your wife's specific needs, we are non-dairy, and we were able to find soy milk at every restaurant we visited. No pre-phone call was needed. In your case, you may want to call ahead after checking out some menus online, since your wife's needs seem greater than ours. But the Disney people are very accomadating, and I am sure they will mix and match entrees for her, seperate entrees or maybe even cook up totally new ones. Just call in advance and ask!

The restaurant staff are VERY accommodating to special diets.

It is only good manners to give them advance notice.

Make your dietary needs known when you make a PS.

I have also heard that nutritional info is available for the food on the food carts--just ask the CM. Better safe than sorry.
