What kind (other than a dark ride description) will this be? On par with what other ride in WDW?

The ride system will be related to mickeys runaway railway and rise of the resistance... it’s also been used on Poohs hunny hunt and mystic manor and is currently being developed for the beast ride in Tokyo

I missed that one. Sounds like a possible light rail proposal. I personally think joining the parks by Hogwarts type connections would be much more efficient. Might be that they would be too popular though.

I would guess rail, too. Here are the posts I recall:

I'd be very very very surprised if it was monorail. But there is a large distance proposed to be served in the future with multiple stops that a gondola won't civer.

There are still long term proposals to link DAK to Epcot via DHS. I won't call it a monorail but it won't be a gondola either.

Engineering is a mystery to man...magic mixed with enigmas. I don't expect the common folks to understand exactly how complex my "GondoRail X3000 (TM)" actually is.

There are no similar trackless rides currently open at Walt Disney World. It will utilize a number of large screens for much of the ride. It’s been open at Walt Disney Studios Park for a few years now if you want to see what it is like.
