Regarding Universal & Disney!

You know, I was reading information on how the company that ownes Universal lost so much money last year, and how they dont expect much better this year.
If this keeps going, one of the two would probably happen.

1.) Disney (unlikely) or another company will purchase the universal parks.

2.) The parks will close.

Even though this is unlikely, imagine how that would be.

How much more business would go to Disney.
How disney would change.

Well just wanted to see what you think.

P.S. Universal doesnt look like its doing bad. WIth the opening of a new hotel, and new attractions.

It may seem like Universal isn't doing that bad, but as a recent visitor to Universal Studios, I can say that it's not all that great anymore. It may be because I am so spoiled by WDW, but Universal really does not have anything going in the park anymore. The rides are boring and let's just say the staff seems like they don't want to be there. The park seems dead.<br>
My 2 year old baby brother had a bad experiece also. When he slid down the slide in the Barney playgroud, his leg accidently twisted backwards. When Universal Paramedics got there, they examined it and said it might be a sprain. They gave him tylenol and pretty much said "Oh, don't worry. That slide always gets children hurt" And they advised us not to go to the hospital because they were certain it was a sprain. We were in shock that they said that and the fact the the slide was still there! The next day, with it being the very first time in Magic Kingdom for him, was not the best. He stayed in his stroller the entire time with a sad face. The only ride to seem to give him a smile was "It's a Small World". He was hurting bad. When we got home, we took him to the hospital and the doctors said he had broken it, not sprained it. We called Universal, complained, and because of us the slide is not there anymore.

But anywho, the only thing going for Universal, I think, is Islands of Adventure. I am, for one, never returning to Universal Studios.
Well, maybe if Disney purchases it and gives it life again, I will go back. But I really doubt it. LOL
That's my take.. :lookaroun

Don't forget, the reason behind the poor park attendances and related lack of revenue is the down turn in tourism caused by a fear of travelling (flying) following the September 11th tradgedy.
Once the Middle East situation sorts itself out (by war or otherwise) things will soon be back to normal pretty quickly and then we'll all be stood at the back of a two hour line at WDW complaining that things weren't always this bad.

My whole view on Universal is that as far as regular theme parks go its the best. But!!! WDW isn't just a theme park its a whole different league that no theme park will ever touch cause it is its own breed of theme park. WDW is the best!!! You just can't compare them.
