Refurb of Under The Sea

I see that there's a rather lengthy refurb scheduled for "Under The Sea" next month. The ride is fairly new, and I was wondering if anybody knows exactly what they're refurbing that takes a full month. Thanks!

Well, first they have to drain out all that water, it is under the sea after all. Sorry, couldn't help myself there. There have been a few rumors to the effect that they are going to upgrade (plus) the ride up to what they did in DLR. Other rumors have been that only some of it will be done. But, who knows they could just be shutting it down to sweep up.

Funny you should say that since there was a permit filed the other day for the Mermaid Water Treatment Plant. I assume this is for the water in the queue area.

I sure hope so..the ride itself wasn't bad but seeing all of the pipe work, electrical wires etc kind of put a damper on my excitement when I rode it for the first time.

I can't wait for this refurb to be done, hopefully they will add everything that went in to the DCA version and it will look amazing

I really hope it's getting an overhaul like at DCA! The black light looks much better and it makes the Under the Sea scene much more immersive.
