We are planning a trip in 2027 Jan. to Disney. We're planning a breakfast at Season 21. If we want to stroll over to the Kingdom, will there be a problem getting back to the Contemporary? It would not involve any fireworks, just a few hours in the morning. I've seen that the only way you can get into hotels is if you have a dining reservation. Didn't know if security would check us or not. Just don't want to get stuck and unable to get back to the car. Thanks for any help.
Do you mean Steakhouse 71? Or the Contempo Cafe?
If Steakhouse 71, then you will want to make a reservation. If you have a reservation, then you should be allowed to park at the Contemporary, - usually -
but only for the duration of your meal. After your meal, you would need to move your car. (Sometimes when the hotel is very busy, they might turn you away and tell you to park at the TTC.)
If you have a reservation, and you really want to park at the Contemporary, I think the Contemporary still offers valet parking, which is good for 24 hours of parking, but no in/out, and it costs more than parking at the MK parking lot. It would give you more time, and save a time over parking at the MK lot, but costs more than parking at MK.
If you mean you want to dine at the Cafe, a quick serve, then you will not be permitted to park at CR, even if you place a mobile order. They simply will not let you in through the gate.
A safe bet would be to park at the main MK parking lot, then take the resort monorail to the Contemporary, though that will take some time, and might cost money. After you park, you take the tram or walk to the TTC, and form the TTC you board the monorail. The monorail will stop at the Poly, Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom, THEN the Contemporary.
After your meal, there is walkway between the Contemporary and the Magic Kingdom that anyone can take.
If you are staying at a WDW hotel, you could also take the free WDW transportation to the Magic Kingdom and walk over to the Contemporary. (for most WDW resorts that would be the bus stop area). Also, if you are staying at a WDW resort, you will not be charged extra to park in the MK parking lot.
