I'm in agreement with most comments on why Remember still (slightly) tops Forever, but the issue is easily summarized. Forever and WoC-C are superior in all technical regards and would make the former shows seem somewhat crude, but the stories and segments made a lot more sense and connected to the source material much better in Remember and WoC.

Step into the Magic/Live the Magic has got to be the blandest, most corporate-speaky theme song Disney's produced for a nighttime show, and that's saying something. They squandered Sherman's Kiss Goodnight. I just can't get over that. The format is a WoC formula (not a good formula, I might add). RDCT wasn't my favorite ever, but it was a heck of a lot more elegant than DLF.

However, Disneyland Forever has a spectacular finale. As I've said before, the pyro at the end rivals RoE's million points of light. There's also some nicely arranged music near the very end.

Don't even get me started on WoC, any version. Y'all can have it. I have no love for Steve Davison. I think his work is conceptually flat, visually cluttered, and aurally assaulting. Yes, that in part goes for RDCT, though that is his best work. I miss the days of Don Dorsey. His shows are works of art. Fantasmic! and Reflections of Earth are still going strong.

So your saying Haunted Mansion Holiday, Its A Small World Holidays, Disney Dreams, and Tokyo's Fantasmic that he made are what you described his work?

To be fair, not in person. That makes me unqualified to judge those. I have seen all of his U.S. Works though, including the holiday overlays.
There on youtube, plus Disney Dreams has three different scenes, and a Winter Dreams version, and Tokyo Disneyland has Once Upon A Time two versions, but no Winter Dreams version yet. As of Winter Dreams I'm still hoping for What's This from the Nightmare Before Christmas to appear in Winter Dreams.
