Rate the Scariest WDW Rides

Space Mountain scares me, because it sounds like it is going to collapse every time I ride it. 45 years and no real overhaul of the track is frightening.
Space Mountain is like driving a six speed manual transmission Mustang GT350 with a race inspired non aspirated V8 engine that stirs your heart and your soul and wakes up the neighbors.

I cant really say many Disney attraction have been scary to me. My top 3 are:
1. The dark Alien Encounter was the most take away my breath, heat pumping attraction.
2. The unexpected ToT first plunge and follow up multiple drops.
3. I was leery of MS intense, because of the media build up hype but didnt find it that bad.

Not necessarily scary for all age groups, but I remember every preschooler in the theater crying in terror when during Magic Journeys, seemingly out of nowhere, the witch appears and starts shooting lighting bolts out at the audience, like Emperor Palpatine.

Skip forward to around the 7:15 mark. What had up until then been a film of pure gentle whimsy suddenly turns very dark.

Haven't been on it in years, but I remember It's Tough to Be a Bug being terrifying.

Oh, and remember the original version of Snow White's Adventures? Never went on that (or either version), but I don't know what was going through their minds when they decided to have the ride end with the Witch succeeding in murder.

To add to the thrill of EE. I always notice that there is more than one train on the track at one time. What would happen if the computer had a melt down?

I remember Tough to be a Bug. It scares some kids so much, the parents have to escort them outside during the show because of the kids screaming cries.

I admit, I am not a fan of It's Tough To Be a Bug. I keep my feet off the floor and my sit upright with my back off the seat 😳 Once was enough to feel the "bugs" on the floor (or whatever that was) and the stingers on my back. It's a cute show but don't care for the physical interactions in that attraction!

UH there are no floor affects in TTBB. Since the theater is below ground level I wonder what you felt. This is a Zoo and with feed around there must be rodents around.

When I first visited Magic Kingdom in 1976 as a 10 year old boy, the scariest ride to me was the Astro Orbiter. I was so small that the lap bar did not seem to be enough to keep me securely in the seat, and the centrifugal force was just enough to push me to the wall of the orbiter that I was terrified of falling out. That, and being so high up... once was more than enough for me!

Speaking of Blizzard Beach - the ski lifts when first put in had no lap bars or seat belts. That was a scary ride with a potential fall on sidewalk or the "mountains".
I remember that! I also will never forget the ENORMOUS bruise I got on my calf when we exited the ski lift. I'm tall with really long legs and couldn't get my leg totally cleared of the lift fast enough and the seat caught my calf underneath it so when I stood up, it was trapped underneath (and unlike a real chair lift, there is no gliding faster than the lift). Massive hematoma that looked like someone took baseball bat to my leg! I ended up limping around the parks for the rest of the trip! And I STILL won't do Summit Wedgie, er, Plummit (wedgie is probably the least invasive part of that ride 😳)!

The arsonist portrait in the load area and the corridor of doors still chill me to the bone lo these many years later. Haunted Mansion (of course).

This is a ride I would not want to go on. Universal changed to weight limit to 150lb with each guest being weighed prior to riding. Glad it's not at WDW.
WOW! I knew Uni. had some slides with wt limits on them and always wondered why in the world they would have a ride that req’d such precautions (150 is not that much...definitely eliminates DH, oldest son and me at one point 😳)! So scary!!!

Even through I know better and I love the ride, Space Mountain always has me wincing and cowering deep in my seat with my arms down because you can't gauge headroom when dipping around in the dark. It's a great effect that turns a very slow speed coaster into something thrilling.
