Now I know Disney spoils it's guests so I dont expect that from universal but after today I am seriously dropping my universal annual pass (Ive had it 7 years).

I purchased HHN tickets 2 weeks ago. They couldnt get the tickets to me via fedex in that time so they said I had to pick them up at the gate. No biggy.

2 days ago I started getting really sick I decided not to go as I have been in bed for 2 days with a 101 temp. My friends were going to go without me. I Thought I would call universal and have change the name so my friends could pick up the tickets instead of me. Simple right? NO

After two hours of being passed from one department to the next I spoke to the same 3 departments 2 times each. Each one saying that wasnt their department it was the other. I gave up and called customer service. They finnally answered my question IT CANT BE DONE. No matter what info I gave them (Pass number ,CC Number)

I know its long so hang in there.

I had people driving three hours for these ticket so I couldnt let them down.

I drove the 45 mins to universal and found a 30 person line at the2 open ticket windows. I waited till I was finally next but I was getting Dizzy. I guess I pushed my self to hard for being sick. Well I had to leave the line as I was passing out but I found a bench in time. It took about 30 mins before I could stand up (no one employee came to check on me and there were plenty around.

I found a secuirty gaurd and explained what had happened and that I was woried about passing out again. He pretty much said tuff I would have to start at the end of the line again. There was nothing he could do. To his defense he did offer to get the first aid people there but I was ok at the time.

I just think Disney would have handled it much better.
Sorry to rant I just felt like no employees carred.

Are you of the belief that Disney would have allowed you to switch the tickets no problem??

Also, if your "I'm sick, so can I skip the line?" approach works at Disney, let me know. I would love to never have to stand in line again simply by telling a CM that I'm sick. :hammer:

I'm sure you think Disney would have handled it better, but I know they wouldn't have. I've had similar issues. While I think they should have allowed you to make the change over the phone, I understand why they didn't.

I could unstand if I just walked up and saw how long the line was then just decided I didnt want to wait in it. I waited throught the line till I couldnt stand anymore and passed out. If I hadnt left I would have just fell to the ground right there. When so many people are worried about the H1N1 Virus with the hype surrounding it you would think they would atleast would have made the change over the phone. I know if I where a guest from out of town that is one of the last souvenirs I would like to take home.

I agree, the problem lies with the phones- Which should have encouraged some kind of trick like refunding the tickets and buying new ones in their names, or something like that.

Because of 1 incident, you're giving up on Universal entirely? Disney has done things like that towards you too, I guarantee it, but you don't give up on them. Oh yea, it's Disney, they don't do ANYTHING WRONG. EVER.

Well There have been several issues over the years (not going to get into them all.) Just another example of Universal doing things backwards.
I spoke to my friends today who went to HHN last night. They were looking forward to riding the rip ride rocket but couldnt as Universal was only letting people ride that had a day pass. how is that fair?

Universal is a Blackstone company what do you expect.:brick: Blackstone removed the Anheuser busch beer and the Clydesdale's from bush gardens and sea world.:brick:

oh, it's not open for HHN? hmm.. that is pretty crappy :(
They are working on getting the moving loading platform working during HHN. While I understand why people would be upset, isn't the haunted houses the reason to go to HHN?

Because free beer and horses that do not fit the Sea World theme make a park

^To add to the above, there's 4 other rides open during HHN, and they all have very minimal waits as well. (Though while they were testing Rockit in broad daylight at opening, I heard quite a few diasppointed people.)

It is open during HHN but only to those guests who also have a regular day ticket. So if you have a hhn ticket you cant go on it. If youhave a day ticket and a hhn ticket you can go on it.

It is not open during HHN at all. Those people with "day tickets" were riding it DURING the day.

Is it really that outlandish to want to ride Universal's big new coaster while there for HHN?

This is so incorrect I'm not sure where to start.

First, while Blackstone has purchased the Busch parks they don't officially own them yet. It still required governmental approval before the sale will be official so Blackstone hasn't done anything in the parks yet.

It was InBev, the company who purchased Anheuser Busch who removed the Clydsedales and the beer. They were only there as a promotion for the beer company. So Blackstone will not be inheriting a park that has that in them, if they wanted them there they'd have to convince InBev that its good idea to pay for that promotion in the parks. Since InBev decided to remove it themselves and sell the parks off I highly doubt you'll see that happen.

To get back on track for a minute. Have you ever had an issue at WDW like this. Trust me, they will handle it no differently. I have had just AWFUL service around issues with fastpasses, tickets and more. You will wait and wait and wait and they won't care. This is not in any way a Universal exclusive.
