We are taking an "extra" vacation this year and funds are a little low. We've suffered numerous crippling losses, health wise, to our family warlier this year and I figured the best way to help get us out of the blues is a WDW trip. Our problem is, with the low funds, we are skipping the DDP and are going to eat mostly at the QSL. We need you help with your top three favorites. As always, thanks in advance.

Happy eating! I spent 9 nights on the QS meal plan last year for our Honeymoon and we really had no compaints.. granted, being on regular dining or deluxe is a lot more fun (and you come home fatter) we really enjoyed the QS plan while on it :)

Thank you very much it seems that we have a lot of the same tastes. I think we are going to try your Sunshine Seasons and Starring Rolls picks as well.

On my last trip, I didn't have time for table service. So apart from one meal at the Sci-Fi, all I ate was QS. I never wanted for anything, plenty of great food options everywhere!

Here goes:

MK-
I'm not a fan of the new(ish) menu's at Pinocchio and the Columbia Haerbour House. Which somewhat limits my QS options.

1- Cosmic Rays. Three counters to choose from, seats with a castle view (if you're lucky!)
2- Sleepy Hollow. Lunch mostly. But then, I seem to nibble my way through the parks, so often there is no clear distinction between lunch/dinner/snacks.
3- Pecos Bill's.

EPCOT-
1 - Sunshine Seasons at The Land. It's not possible they don't have something to suit your taste!
2 - For lunch, France's patisserie et boulangerie. Bliss for me is the cheese plate and an extra loaf of bread, consumed outside, on the streets of my beloved Paris.
3 - Liberty Inn at the America pavilion. What can I say? I simply like he place.

DHS-
1- That area on Sunset Bld, with the outdoor seating. Plenty of options here.
2- I mostly end up at option 1 above, they have several counters with always something I'm in the mood for, plus I always pass by it on my way to and fro ToT and RnRC.
3-

AK-
1 - Yak and Yeti. Awesome take-away. Great Asian food, plenty of lovely spots around to eat it.
2 - That little counter across from Tusker House. Great secluded seating area!
3 - Flametree and Pizzafari.

Lot of our favorites have been mentioned so I will add in:

Pop Century's Mom's Night Out Turkey Dinner on Tues/Wed
and Riverside Resort-made to order pastas where you pick out the ingredients-wonderful! Sometimes we will leave from a park and go here, then take the boat to DD to do some shopping.

Stupid question I am going in a month,

What does the Quick Service Option allow you to buy?

I read two meals a night plus one snack.

Does this mean any restaurant that has counter service you give them your pass and order one item on the menu per person? Do you get the drink too?

Mostly things like burgers and chicken fingers?

What do they call the snack?

Here is the link to WDW's website and the information on the Quick Service Dining Plan.

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/me...altDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2011QuickService.pdf

Each person in your party with the dining plan will receive an entree, drink and dessert for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is entree and drink. Snacks vary and will be marked at restaurants/snack carts with a DDP snack symbol. Snacks include ice cream treats, fruit, water, frozen lemonade/Coke, cookies, etc.

Children ages 9 and under must order from the kids meal (if there is one).

I suggest you read the brochure on the WDW website and look at articles/advice on the DDP. Allears.net and Disney Tourist Blog have great advice on the DDP and suggestions for maximizing the value.

Have fun on your trip!!

Sorry! My reply above was not supposed to be on this thread but on a thread with questions about QS DP. I don't know how to delete the post!
