My experience has been that they have envelopes for each person you tip in your room on the last night. There should also be a tip guide somewhere.

As @ginadee said there are envelopes in your stateroom and you tip on the last night. When you go in for your last meal you can give it to them then. Enjoy your cruise!

When I went on the Fantasy in August, they automatically charged my room with "suggested" tips. As others mentioned, envelopes were left by the Room Stewart for turndown on the final day, but there was also the "tip sheet" which let me know what Disney would be automatically charging. If I wanted to change the amount (up or down), the sheet instructed me to call Guest Services.

There are 4 tipped positions: Server, Assistant Server, Head Server, and Stateroom Host. The tips for all positions work out to $12.00 per person, per day. You can prepay your tips or they will be charged to your stateroom on the last night of the cruise. You can always reduce or increase the amount of your tips by going to guest services, or as we did on our last cruise, slip some cash in the tip envelopes. We gave extra cash to our stateroom host, Shaka, and our Head Server, Anna, who went above and beyond in their service on our last cruise on the Magic.

You also need to tip the folks who help you with the luggage at the port and some extra dollars for the room service servers.

As I recall (and somewhere I have a picture of it), the tip rates for all four vary. While the total may work out to $12 a day, that's not even distribution. The default tip amounts, for example, for my Stateroom Host and Server, were higher than for the Head Server (who had the lowest default tip amounts).

I wasn't overly impressed with my service team, so I left the default amounts alone (I felt they were fair for the level of service I recieved...they didn't do anything bad, but they didn't do anything to warrant more).

However, I gave an extra amount of cash (not room charge) to the room steward, Carlos, who was excellent.

Tips – Tips are expected for your head server, server, assistant server and room steward. These tips are paid at the end of the cruise with envelopes provided by the cruise line. Disney will charge them to your stateroom account unless you stop by guest services and ask them not to. You can also prepay your tips before arrival by calling DCL or your travel agent. Tips work out to about $12 per passenger per night of the cruise.

The tips do vary based on position but it does work out to about $12.00 per person, per day. I also found the answer in Tammy's FAQ section and quoted it here.
