Ive just watched a couple of videos of the new expansion.... does anyone know if the green walls by the speedway as you walk in are permanent or they actually going to put a different kind of wall there? :)

When you look at the models the walls aren't there, but that of course doesn't mean anything. Personally from day 1 I've had concerns of how the story flow would work with this expansion (being able to see the circus from Tomorrowland etc.) so I'm hoping they have a creative way of maintaining the separation. Maybe the walls will come down and some thick foliage will go up?

I thought they would put a railing up or something but so far nope, still the green wall.

I'm sure a new fence will be added sooner rather than later...that being said, I'm almost positive options are also being discussed for the speedway, whether that's in two years or twenty years one can only speculate.

I actually have only been on the speedway once and that was last year! I actually liked a lot but i do think it needs updated or changed the thing i always thought about the speedway was that the could extend it over the train line and put it out there and then that would free up more space for Tommorow land and Circus or fantasyland! :)

I'm guessing the they might leave the wall up to combat the noise and fumes from the race track, and I imagine eventually they reconfigure the lay out of track at some point, maybe even remodel it to something along the lines of Disneyland Paris

this is what they have in Paris

I 100 percent think they should redo/retheme tomorrowland speedway. Its so boring and there is always a 40 minute wait for it. Plus its overly loud, cars in the future will not be that loud. An indoor outdoor tron attraction using tron designed cars under the same principle would provide a much better attraction.

Pre-Birthdayland the speedway was a much better experience (back in it's "Grand Prix" days). Once it was shortened it definitely lost it's value when compared against the lines it usually has. Still... I would much rather see them refurb it and spruce it up then get rid of it. I'm always a fan of that option over demolition. :) I think kids still love the attraction because they can "drive" and that by itself makes it fun!

^ Getting rid of the Speedway is also an option.

as much as i agree, i don't think Disney wants to do that just yet. it's still a popular attraction. unless they have future plans to replace it with something Tron's Grid/Light Cycle related, i really don't see much of a reason to get rid of it unnecessarily. and why do i get the vibe that you dislike it a lot?

Well they could do both. I mean it is tomorrowland. Why dont they build a building on top of tommorowland speedway. This could host a tron esque ride and below they could light up the speedway with cool neon lights. Well just my opinion.

Wow after seeing this, dumbo might be going up my favorites list.

Wow It just looks ten times better with a second dumbo spinner. Just wait until they open the que and then what it will lock like at night.

I don't hate it, I just feel like it shouldn't be there anymore. It's such a noisy, smelly ride that takes up a ton of space that could be used for better things.

Awesome idea. So awesome in fact, they're building this in Epcot right now...
