Question regarding annual pass/tables in wonderland

My husband and I are traveling to Walt Disney World in February 2020. We usually plan a trip to WDW annually and usually spend about 8-9 days on property. On this upcoming trip, for the first time, we are considering making one of our tickets an annual pass so that we can benefit from the discounts pass holders receive, as well as save on Memory Maker, buying special merch, etc. As a way to save even more, we are looking to purchase Tables In Wonderland because we like eating at many of the resort’s signature restaurants.

My question is: If I were to buy my annual pass ahead of our February 2020 visit, would I also be able to take advantage of some of these passholder discounts and also be able to purchase Tables in Wonderland ahead of time? I understand that picking up an annual pass must be done at one of the park gates. Is there information that’s sent to me ahead of time that will allow me to benefit from passholder perks before arriving in February?

There is no need to purchase a Tables in Wonderland card before arrival, since it activates on the purchase date. You can purchase it at the same time you exchange the AP voucher at Guest Relations.

I am uncertain if a AP voucher allows you to access the Passholder page on the website, where the discounts are listed. But the only discount you may be eligible for prior to activating your pass is a room discount, and you’ll need to activate your AP prior to check in. Also, you need to show an active AP card in order to receive discounts on merchandise, tours and food.

You will not receive any additional information until after you activate your AP.
