Question : Exterior of Splash mountain...

Hi!
I was wondering ... Did they repaint the Splash Mountain facade ....Cos I was in the magik Kingdom in January 04 and it looked kind of faded....compared to BTM...Anyway thanks in advance 4 your answers!

Hi there... Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain and the Tomorrowland entrance rockwork were all painted from mid-spring to early-summer of this year. They look great!

If I can remember correctly, the Briar Patch did get painted as well... eventually.

Yep Splash did get a fresh paint job and it looks incredibly good. When I was backstage today it was very noticble because they didnt repaint the back of the mountain so you could see the old paint job and the new one. It really needed it.

You can also notice it when youre on the ride!! Look out whenever you're riding along the outside of the mountain. You can see the back sides of part of the rock.

As stated... al the rockwork around the areas got repainted.. They needed it... (I was there about 4 month's difference.. and noticed the huge difference..)

The Briar Patch store got repainted. But the actual Briar Patch that you plunge into on the final drop never got the paint it needed. But it might be coming. Who knows. They still paint things every so often. The station just got repainted like a month ago.

They also apparently added a fence blocking off the platform (on the left, before the second hill climb) near the beginning when you circle the final drop. I guess people were jumping out? Anyone see how they get people out in that location with the fence now during an E-Stop?

The used to have a CM sitting there. I guess that answers my question as to why they were sitting there. That fence probably has an opening in it somewhere.
