Question about Donald's Breakfastosaurus

Hi Everyone,

We're heading out for a weekend trip in May to check out Everest. Needless to say, we'd like to get into the park as early as possible so we can get as many rides in on Everest as we can. We've been thinking about eating breakfast at Donald's to get into the park early around 8 am.

However, we're wondering what happens to guests if you finish breakfast before the park opens. Are allowed to be in the park, or do you have to back to the main gate? We're just wondering if this will get us into the park earlier or not.

Thank you for the help.

im not sure what happens if you finish early but i would think you wouldnt finish early coz there is alot of food to choose from and the characters do the rounds alot.

i have been to donalds breakfastosaurus and loved it -its my fave character breakfast. it is a bit of a walk from the park entrance but if you add that into account and waiting to be seated and then meeting your server and getting the food then eating it and taking pics with the characters and getting there autographs i doubt you will be finnished before the park opens.

have a great time. i loved everything about it when i went and everythings great there its a great sight when you walk around the corner and see everest in the morning sun.:)

It is a pretty entertaining character breakfast. The waiters do lots of hi-jinks, and the characters take a while to get around as the place is BIG. So even if you finish before the park opens, you can hang around drinking coffee and let the kids chase the characters around and get squirted with the ketchup bottles - whoops did I say that? - until opening time, then step out and already be well ahead of the crowds and halfway to Everest...

i went by myself and got seated at the back of the room which i liked very much coz i could see the whole room aswell as the character area and my CM had me in stitches laughing with the stuff he did and the jokes he was telling me and he kept asking me was i ok or if i needed anything and if i wanted he would take my pic for me with the characters. he was ace!!
when the characters came around they would sit at my table and give me hugs and kisses which was fun as i said before it was my fave character breakfast everyone get involved and the place has a great atmosphere coz everyones having a fun time.

you will enjoy it; i know it.

Yeah, I honestly think you either will be close, or not done with breakfast by the time you see Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. When in doubt, use fastpasses! One thing that's nice about EE is that it loads fast because the cars hold so many people, so i'm sure if you're there early you'll be fine.

You are not allowed into the park early. They make you wait fairly close to the restaurant. There's a CM keeping you from entering the park.

But even making you wait fairly close to the restaurant is still twice as close to EE as the gate is.

We went in Oct to Donald's and had the first seating time available. We sat down right at 8:00 am and the character started their rounds around 8:20am. If we had an agenda like you, we could have been out of there no later that 8:50 and ready to head to the first ride of our choice.

You have a straight shot right past the giant Dino and on to EE.

Buses

Hi all, I have ressies for the breakfast at 8:15. What time do the buses start running from the resorts. I am concerned we wont make it in time unless we drive ourselves.

Officially, the buses start at 8 am; at least that's what we were told when we made our reservation.

However, my wife's been scoping out some other boards, and they say that buses start running 45 min. before the first breakfast reservation. So I'd say they'd start running to the AK around 7 am or so.

Check with Guest services to be sure, but we've never had a problem grabbing a bus to a character breakfast. They will tell you approximately what time you should leave based on where you're staying and where you're going. The character breakfast busses make multiple stops, so it can take a little longer than a normal trip. The nice thing, if there's not a lot of people on the bus, the driver will figure out the route based on where people are going and will skip some stops if he can.

When we were at Beach Club in October, we made sure that Guest Relations knew that we had ressies for Donald's and they said that they made sure that transportation was aware that we would need a bus to AK.
