Question about Disney gift card

Hi everyone ,

i am going to Disney World in April and with my booking I received a free Disney Gift Card of $ 200. I also read that this gift card can be spent at a dessert party. but how does this work? it says in my confirmation e-mail that the gift card is included in the booking but do I get this by e-mail or do I have to pick it up at the hotel? and can I therefore plan the dessert party in advance? since we are 6 people were there 2 bookings made there are also 2 gift cards can I use both or 1 at a time? sorry for all information! hope someone can help me TIA !

If travelling from the UK it can depend who you have book with.

In 2016 booking directly with Disney we had to pick it up at world of disney at disney springs

In 2018 with virgin had to pick it up as the virgin desk downstairs in MCO

They will let you know with your magic mail younrceive before your trip I'm sure!

We now apply the card upon check in to our account I'd you leave it to the end of your trip they can sometimes have already billed your card on file and then have to refund to apply the card balance.

The times I have been to WDW, I have always picked up the Disney Gift Card at the 'Virgin Pit Stop' in the car park
