Problems With Online Dining

You all are going to laugh... But I figured out the issue with the Disney Online Dining site.... I have a program called AD MUNCHER, which blocks ads on websites so the sites load faster... Well, a recent update blocked the Disney site... When I have Ad Muncher enabled, the dining site does not work for me... When I disable it, the site works as it is supposed to... I never had an issue at the beginning with this program.. Guess I need a new Ad blocker that won't interfere with Disney Online dining LOL..

Thanks for your help everyone... I appreciate it...

Thanks for sharing. I honestly wouldn't have thought of that being the problem.

Nor I.

Glad you figured it out.

I didn't either... I kind of stumbled on it by chance.. I noticed I was getting pop ups blocked on a site that I needed the pop up... And I noticed the message said AD MUNCHER blocked the pop up.. I disabled Ad Muncher and suddently Disney's online dinign site worked... I enabled it again, and sure enough, Disney's online dining site failed... I'm going through the settings to see if I can have Ad Muncher ignore Disney's site... I may not be able to do that... but now I know, just disable Ad Muncher...

One thing I always tell people is that if your computer is doing something wrong chances are it is your fault.

Glad you found out what was wrong. Chasing an issue like that is enough to make you crazy.

iTunes is a horrible program! I've had two major disasters with it. Because it is so complex and installs bits and pieces all over your computer, when something goes wrong it goes very, very wrong!

I've found a great program. "Revo uninstaller" first removes the application using its own removal tool and then searches for all the little bits and pieces that are still hanging around and allows you to remove them too.

Completely removing any Apple applications [including "Bonjour" and anything else in Add/Remove that says "Apple"] and then re-installing has cleaned up the really bad failures... Just be sure to store your library files first.

So true but that seem to be indicative of all media programs these days. I use itunes for podcast only and have an ancient version of Musicmatch Jukebox for playing music files.

I think it's just that it does so much. But it also loads up a bunch of other stuff without actually telling you, which makes it even more difficult to troubleshoot. I don't really object to them doing so much with one interface, but make it easier to fix when it breaks!

I never had a problem with iTunes until the latest update... I reinstalled iTunes 4 and it worked fine... When I updated to the new one, 10.2 or something, Windows refuses to open it... I get the iTunes encounted a problem and needs to close message... Agh!!!
