Post-SW:GE Expansion Ideas?

These are my ideas on what Disney should do or change to Disney's Hollywood Studios. First off I would change the name to Disney's Hollywood Adventure. Now here is what I think should be done to the rest of the park (mostly a lot of little and easy changes):

Hollywood Boulevard:
-End "Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular"
-Replace "SW:AGS" with a new nighttime show, "Disney Movie Magic Spectacular" (a mix of the the end of The Great Movie Ride and the Happily Ever After at MK, it will showcase the history of Disney Movie History through the years showcasing films like "Snow White", "Mary Poppins", "Raiders" (even though not made by Disney), "Toy Story", "Guardians of the Galaxy" , etc.)

Attractions:
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway (trackless dark ride)

Shows:
Disney Movie Magic Spectacular! (nighttime show)

Restaurants:
The Trolley Cart Cafe (Snacks)
Hollywood Brown Derby (Sit-Down)

Echo Lake:
-Merge Echo Lake and Commisionary Lane to one area
-Shut Down Hollywood Vine & Dine
-Replace with Hollywood Adventure Photo Spot (In the vein of Epcot Character Spot in Epcot)
-Hollywood Adventure Photo Spot will let you meet with characters such as Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Doc McStuffins, Vamprina, (rotation of Dinsey characters new and old such as Mr. Incredible, Moana, Doctor Strange, and others)
-Update some facades in Echo Lake such as 50's Prime Time Diner
-Close "For the First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along" in Hyperion
-Update Hyperion (inside) to look like the one in DCA and outside make it look like it matches the Hollywood Boulevard look
-Place "Frozen: Live at the Hyperion" inside the newly refurbished theater
-Remove the Academy busts outside the theater
-Close "Star Wars: Path of the Jedi"
-Either demolish theater entirely or place something temporary inside it
-Remove Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and Backlot Express
-Place an updated and more advanced version of "Indiana Jones Adventure" in place with a new quick-service eatery adjunct to it to become Indy mini-land
-The new quick service would be named "Expedition Express" with the same menu as Backlot Express with other new options
-Remove "Jedi Training Academy" (relocate to a new location in DHA)
-Remove "Star Tours" so one day if Disney needs to build a new attraction it can be placed where it once was

Attractions:
Indiana Jones Adventure
(Room for a ride in place of "Star Tours")

Shows:
Frozen: Live at the Hyperion!

Meet & Greet:
Hollywood Adventure Photo Spot

Dining:
Expedition Express (Quick Service)
ABC Commissary (Quick Service)
Boat Side Diner (Quick Service)
Sci-Fi Drive-In Diner (Sit-Down)
50's Prime Time Diner (Sit-Down)

Grand Avenue:
-Rename to "Muppet Avenue"
-Place an outside show called "The Muppets Present...History of Star Wars" on top of the remaining Streets of America facade to entertain guests waiting to enter "Galaxy's Edge"
-Remove the Christmas Shop near Mama Melrose's
-Remove the new "Muppet Vision" marque and bring back the old one
- (Trigger Warning) Make a new Muppets 3-D Film that is written by the team behind the 2011's Muppets movie which was written by Jason Segal and Nicholas Stroller
- Kermit and the gang will still be the main characters of the show with the newer Muppet, Gary as a supporting role in the show
- Rename the show "Muppet Vision*3D 2.0"
-Make a whole new menu to PizzeRizzo with a new recipe for the pizza and other food options such as Mozzarella Sticks, Buffalo Wings, etc.
-New pizzas can include Buffalo Chicken, Barbecue Chicken, Meatball and more
-Add TVs mounted to the ceiling on the top floor of the restaurant showing clips of "The Muppet Show"
- (Maybe) Have an anamotronic Rizzo somewhere within the restaurant talking to the guests
-Shut down Mama Melrose's to become Gonzo's Italian Ristorante
- High-end Muppet theming with posters of all the Muppet Movies on the wall, artifacts from the show/movies and old easter eggs to the park
-Mostly the same menu but with new Muppet-inspired items
-Remove the Muppet shop and put in a smaller one in its place to allow more guest flow

Shows:
Muppet Vision*3D 2.0 (3D Show)
The Muppets Present...History of Star Wars (Live Show)

Dining:
PizzeRizzo (Quick Service)
Gonzo's Italian Ristorante (Sit-Down)
Baseline Taphouse (Bar)

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge:
-Nothing

Attractions:
Millenium Falcon Experience (Simulator)
First Order Battle Escape (Trackless Dark Ride)

Dining:
Sit-Down/Quick Service Restaurant

Toy Story Land:
-More shade
-Use the expansion pad for this land to open "Jessie's Wild West Diner" (need a better name but has to include Jessie in the name)
-This restaurant will be like the Hoopdy-Do Revue but without the dinner show instead with other entertainment inside
-The restaurant will also have a breakfast option in the morning with Character Meet and Greets during your meal

Attractions:
Toy Story Mania! (3D Shooter Ride)
Slinky Dog Dash (Family Coaster)
Alien Swirling Saucers (Whip Ride)

Dining:
Woody's Lunchbox (Quick Service)
Jessie's Wild West Dinner (Sit-Down)

Animation Courtyard:
-Close "Voyage of the Little Mermaid" (finally)
-Replace with "Mickey and the Magician" like the one in Paris
-Remove "Star Wars Launch Bay"

Shows:
Disney Junior Dance Party (Live Show)
Mickey and the Magician (Live Show)

Sunset Boulevard:
-Close Planet Hollywood Store (just because IMO it feels really dated inside)
-Update Fantasmic with new scenes
-Call it "Fantasmic!: A Night of Symphonies"
-Close "Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage" (finally)
-Replace the show with it either being based on Mary Poppins or a Disney/Pixar IP
-Place a Tower of Terror bar right outside the exit of the attraction
-Remove "Rockin' Roller Coaster"

Attractions:
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Shows:
Fantasmic!: A Night of Symphonies
Mary Poppins or Disney/Pixar Live Show

Dining:
Fairfax Faire (Quick Service)
Hollywood Tower Bar (Bar)

Now here is where I am conflicted on what I want to do. If somehow Disney gains the rights to include Marvel properties such as the Avengers, Spider-Man and Ant-Man to the parks they should not put that to waste. If they do regain the rights I have three ideas on where to place a Marvel-themed land like the one they are building in DCA. 1). In the back of Sunset Boulevard demolishing "RRC" and "SW:LB" in the process 2). If Disney ever decides to build a fifth park place the land there or 3). (This one has no chance of happening) Fill in Tom Sawyer's Island and place the land in the back left corner of the park. If Disney were to ever build a Marvel Land here is what I would like for them to do:

Avenger's Campus:

Attractions:
Avengers: Quest for the Infinity Stones (High-Tech Indoor Roller Coaster)
Spider-Man's Web Swing (Swinging Dark Ride)
(Room for third attraction)

Shows:
Doctor Strange Show (Like Jedi Training Academy which has it's stage moved to this area)

Exhibits:
Stark Expo Interactive Showcase (like what they have in HKDL)

Dining:
Ant-Man Micro Brewery (Sit-Down Restaurant)
Shwarma Joint (Quick Service)

If Disney never builds a Marvel Land within Disney's Hollywood Studios then here is what I would do with "Star Wars Launch Bay", "Jedi Training Academy" and "Rockin' Roller Coaster"

-I would replace "Star Wars Launch Bay" with "The Magic of Disney Animation" to bring it back to its glory
-Still remove "Jedi Training Academy" and tear up the stage
-EIther replace "RRC" with a Monsters, Inc. Door Coaster (which means to get rid of the track inside to make it a new indoor "Dragon Challenge" type of ride but tamed for the kids which means a height requirement of 42" or just do a quick retheme to Incredibles

Those are my ideas and opinions on what DIsney should do to DHS once "SW:GE" is completed. I hope to see what other ideas everyone else has.

Over the course of the last nine months, I feel like I would like to add some changes to my proposal on what Disney should do with, Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I recently visited Walt Disney World last month for almost two weeks and had a great time as always. Of course, visiting Walt Disney World, I got to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios almost 3 full times and experienced all of their attractions again. I went to every attraction except “Beauty and the Beast- Live on Stage”, “Disney Junior Dance Party”, and “Alien Swirling Saucers” (but I have already ridden that attraction on a two-day trip last year a few days after the opening). Since my recent visit, I have made a new list of my ideal version of what Disney’s Hollywood Studios should be with some changes from the original list I made. I don’t think it fits the topic of my forum which is “Post-SW:GE Expansion Ideas?” but since this is more of an idealized list of what I think should be at the park but at the bottom I did provide what I would open at this park and what would close for the new experiences to open. Hope you like my ideas!

*= So you may have looked at Hollywood Boulevard and have been surprised that “Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway” wasn’t among the attractions but in its place was…”The Greatest Movie Ride”? Yes, In my ideal version of this park I would never have closed “The Great Movie Ride” for the simple fact that it is what made this park, it was the centerpiece of this park and it feels wrong to take the ride out for an attraction that is not only un-unique, since it’s going to be duplicated in Disneyland and other Disney parks, it feels like if Epcot took out “Spaceship Earth” for a (for ex.) Death Star Escape attraction. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense and doesn’t resemble Future World. “Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway” doesn’t resemble Hollywood Studios to me like “The Great Movie Ride” did. “Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway” replacing “The Great Movie Ride” feels money grabby and short term as I don’t think it will hold up as much as “The Great Movie Ride” did even if it needed a few updates.

I saw you replaced Little Mermaid with Aladdin. Is it because she is overly represented in the parks now, with her addition in Fantasyland? Although that could also be said for Beauty and the Beast (Magic, Epcot, Hollywood) and Finding Nemo (Epcot and Animal) as well.

It was because I thought Mermaid has aged out and should get replaced. Back when I made this, the live-action remake of Aladdin had just come out and was very successful. It had me thinking, "why not just throw a live-action Aladdin stage show in there?". In 2019, replacing Mermaid with the live-action Aladdin seemed like it could work. Now, given how that film has left no cultural footprint (like most of the live-action remakes), I think a replacement themed around Encanto or Moana would work better given those are more popular and admired films. Both would work great in the space.
