We like walking.
To each their own of course. The campground is a pretty good size and walking is good but not very efficient if you're doing other things on property and not just enjoying what's inside the Fort grounds. We have been in the 800 loop the times we went which is right about in the middle between the parks bus stops in the front, and the boat docks in the back.

Had always wanted to stay at the cabins, and finally did. Went back for more! Absolutely love it there and actually plan for days to stay at the resort into our trip. Quite likely will stay nowhere else. Haven't been since they were refurbed, so must get there again soon!!!

Golf cart a must! Camaro is optional (rental, unfortunately - but also a ton of fun!)

It seems like a lot of people are in the cabins. If you partake in campground activities and not just the parks, do you use the quiet pool or the bigger meadows pool?

We use the meadows pool but we have kids who enjoy the slide (and maybe two adults who enjoy it as well ;) ) They also do activities for the kids at the pool. Our oldest did a ton of activities...hoola hopping contest, Simon says etc...she had a blast and we loved watching her get to just be a kid

As a couple not blessed with children, we have always enjoyed the quiet pool - and it also gives us the chance to get some laundry done while we do so. We have taken our niece, who absolutely LOVED the Meadows pool - especially the water slide! So, in the end, it will depend on what you're looking to do...

We looked at the Meadow pool but it seemed to be a little crowded. We too really enjoyed relaxing in the quiet pool.
