It's a great resort. It does share a bus with POFQ depending on volume of riders. When sharing it goes to POFQ first so it is possible that it will be full by the time it gets to POR.

I think all resorts have long lines heading back. POR is pretty large, so it stands to reason there will be a lot of guests waiting to go back at the end of the night. I've stayed at POR many times, and the bus service is good. The buses do tend to get full, so you will probably have to stand at some point.

I've stayed at POR & didn't have bus issues in the morning but when the parks close there is always a line for any resort bus. If you try to leave a few minutes early you should be okay. You can also take the boat to DTD.

The buses aren't as bad as they seem. They don't share with POFQ all the time. Most of the parks, they have their own bus stop and POFQ has their own bus stop. I know for sure they have their own at MK. When they do share, POFQ is picked up first and dropped off first unless its a DTD bus. That ride is just horrible lol. POR- South Depot bus stop has the screen with the bus wait times to each park which is nice and very accurate.

Agreed, the transportation is absolutely fine. We did encounter long lines late one night from MK to POR, so we jumped on the bus to FQ instead and had a peaceful 10 minute walk along the Sassagoula back to our building. Amazingly enough, we beat the bus back to RS even though we walked.

We never had any problems when we have stayed there. If you are talking about long lines such as after Wishes at MK, why not take a stroll through the park and let the crowds disperse some before you leave? It is really awesome to be in the parks when almost everyone is gone. The CMs have never pushed us to leave, and we just walk slowly around. Then slowly head through the shops on the way out. By the time we get to the bus stop, there is pretty much no line left.

THIS!!! I agree 100% with this thought process. Even with our girls being younger, we have learned that it just doesn't pay to fight the crowds in line and on the bus at the end of a long day. If one fell asleep in the stroller while we were passing time in the park after the parade or Wishes, it was easier to board a bus and settle in without the crowd and lack of seating, not to mention the extra room for the stroller to be out of the way.
As for POR transportation, I have found it to be comparable to any other resort we have ever stayed in. It seems to be luck of timing when arriving at a bus stop, but we never waited more than 20 minutes to get a bus to anywhere on property.....although, it is amazing how LONG 20 minutes can feel at a Disney bus stop when waiting with 2 excited girls to get to the Magic Kingdom!:)

I agree! It is amazing how many people say that they waited "forever" for a bus, when it was really only 15-20 minutes. It does SEEM like forever! People need to remember that they are on VACATION and they need to chill.

I stayed in January at Riverside for the first time in years, and the bus system was one of my major concerns. But after that visit, I had not one issue. Buses ran on time, were never full and after parks closed they had a bus waiting if one was full. Was very impressed. Also keep in mind this was over marathon weekend.
