POR Room Conditions

My DW and I have a question and were hoping some of you good people could help us answer it. We stayed at POR in December 2011. We loved the resort but I believe we had one of the older rooms. The WDW website pictures of a "standard room" shows the clearly refurbished rooms. Are all of the rooms at Riverside like refurbished like their advertised models?

Thanks :D

We stayed there (Alligator Bayou, Building 16 or 17) in October 2012. The rooms are all refurbed and now all have queen beds (plus the Murphy bed in the Alligator Bayou rooms). Although the refurbishment was a few months old when we saw it, our room was pristine and still looked brand-new, and certainly much more luxurious and pretty than the rooms were prior to the refurb -- it looked exactly like the "promo" picture on the Disney website. I think you'll be very pleased with the updates.

we were there march 2012 in a royal room (they'd just opened), august 2012 in building 15 of AB and again last month in building 24 and they were great.

They are all refurbished, and they are amazing. The rooms just scream relaxation, which is good from the up tempo feeling of the parks.

The main building and north bus depot are about equal in distance from lodge 38 and not a far walk... About 2-4m. You are this far from the bridge crossing over to Ol' Man Island - and the main building beyond:

You will see this sign on the way to the bus stop:
