Pop Century or the All Star resorts?

Heading back to Disney soon and we usually just stay at the All Star resorts. Thinking of giving Pop Century a try. How does it compare to the All Star resorts? Is there much of a difference at all? Thanks.

I haven`t stayed at either of these resorts , but have been and visited them both. I would imagine that it would take a while to get anywhere from the All Stars resorts as they are a bit out of the way and if they share buses it would take for ever!! Pop Century seems a bit more central.

We stayed at the Pop this last March and we LOVED everything about it. That was our first experience at a value resort so I can't comment about All Stars. Pop had the BEST bus service that we've ever experienced in all our stays. Only ate breakfast at the resort but the food was good with plenty of selection. We stayed in a preferred room so we'd be relatively close to everything. This is a BIG resort. The rooms were immaculate and freshly renovated. As for the grounds, well, it was just flat out fun to walk around! :sohappy:

I sure hope not as Pop has almost 3,000 rooms (2880 I think) and that should qualify for a seperate bus.

All-Star Movies has 1,920 rooms, Music has 2,000 and sports has 1,920 = 5,840 rooms

Pop has 2,880 and Art of Animation is scheduled to have a total of 1984 = 4,864

The Pop complex will have less rooms than the All-Star complex so I'd say it's a great possibility that they'll share a bus route.

Pop is my favorite resort when I am at WDW. I love it. Great atmosphere and I find all the staff to be friendly and happy. I just got back a week ago and I am going again in February. You will LOVE Pop!

Never realized Pop Century was so popular. Why didn't we stay there sooner? :)

Funny thing is the wife and I used to only stay at moderate and deluxe resorts before our son was born. After he was born we've stayed at value resorts. Turns out when you have a precocious child that wants to stay at the parks until he passes out, staying at one of the more expensive ones is a bit of a waste. We get up early, hit the parks, and don't come back until late that night. Maybe we'll do one of the more expensive resorts again when we go back by ourselves. :animwink:
