Pop Century or the All Star resorts?

Pop has it's own bus, All Stars shares most of the time. Pop is newer. Stayed at both and like Pop better. That being said when discounts are out it is usually easier, and sometimes cheaper, to choose All Stars.
One other factor, when Pop Warner, Cheerleading etc is going on they usually stay at All Stars therefore Pop is much quieter during those times.

I am also intereded in this tread.... yes me the deluxe resort snob and dont care who knows will be staying in a value resort in June. And have no clue on where I should stay. It will be a for long weekend to visit with DD while she is working in the college program. I am also hoping for a free dinning while we are there.

I prefer pop to the all stars. The facilities are newer and I like the food court more. The resort is also in a better location with closer access to Epcot and the Studios.

AS resorts only share busses during the middle of the day or non-peak times. The food courts at the AS resorts don't get as crowded as the one at Pop b/c each AS resort is smaller than Pop. Also, because the AS resorts are smaller you have a better chance of getting a room near the food court/lobby/busses even if it's not a preferred location. My favorite is Music, it seems to have a more relaxed feel to it. You usually don't get the sports teams (they tend to stay at Sports) and more families with young children tend to stay at Movies (probably b/c of the theming). Also, the rooms at Music were upgraded a couple of years back and are now newer than the ones at Pop (not sure about the other AS resorts).

POP all the way!! It's newer, in a better location, has a better food court and buses for only the one resort. No brainer for me on this one.

I've stayed at AS Music 3 times, and will be going to our 2nd trip to POP this December (during Pop Warner week). I'm a Value resorts girls and I don't care who knows it! 
I really liked ASMu, having stayed there 3 times (seems like more...?). I think my DH picked it for our first trip since it had to be a value for our budget and I love Music however it's a great choice. it doesn't usually attract the sports groups that sports does, and it has fewer kids than Movies (Movies has more recognizable icons). We stayed in a Preferred room 2 of 3 times, and that made our experience 1000000x better. The preferred rooms are in Calypso, which is right next to the food court/lobby.bus stop and right by the main pool. The other time we were in Rock N Roll which was SO far from the bus stop and after a long day of touring that 15 minute walk seemed to take hours and I think I literally broke down into tears..but enough with how pathetic I am.
Last time we stayed at POP, which I really liked. The rooms are pretty much exactly the same as the All Stars. The square footage and amenities are identical except (and please correct me if this has changed) that at the ALl stars they have shower gel and shampoo (no conditioner! gasp!) in an inshower dispenser, wheras at Pop you get a bar of soap and shampoo bottles.
I like Pop a bit better, for one, it's novel to me. I did stay at ASMu enough for it to be "home", but it's also newer and shows less wear. The lobby is beautiful. i really like it! The theming is very interesting. I think the best thing about it is the layout. Instead of being like a long T shape, the buildings are mosre clustered around the lobby, so you can only be so far from the buses. We stayed in the 70's building and I didn't feel like I was walking miles to the bus stop. It's also closer to Epcot (the All stars are closest to AK), and you do not share a bus. We found that most times at the All Stars we did share a bus. It was mainly at park closing that we did not.
Pop also has a different food court layout. The all Stars have a separate food court and gift shop, wheras Pop has one large open area. It's kind of interesting.
I'm excited to go back and explore it and see how it's decorated for the holidays. We're seen ASMu decorated for the holidays i think all 3x we were there, at least partially because it was either Dec or early Jan that we were there and I like the music theme. I'm sure Pop will also be lovely.

My vote is for POP hands down. Going back in March for our second stay at Pop. It just seemed cleaner and of course newer than the All Stars. The food court seemed to have more choices and better food. Last time I didn't pay for a preferred room, but we ended up in the 90's building so it was straight out of our room across the parking lot and the bus stop is right there. I think we were just as close to the front as some who paid for a preferred room as long as we cut threw the parking lot. Stayed at ASM in '08, found it kind of dirty and run down. Plus, sometimes a bus would come to get us already filled to capacity because of stopping at the other resorts first and there we stood at least another 15 mins. So, for me if it has to be Value Pop it will be.

I really love the Pop, having stayed there twice. Wish we were staying there in Dec but hubby wants to stay offsite :dazzle: I have toured the ASR and really liked the Pop better. You can tell ASRs are older.

pop i love pop its so nice and close and newer and i like the theme better than all star sports and music never been to movies
