I have a trip planned for April 5-9 where I'm traveling with the folks and mostly going to Epcot and AK. Now I'm already looking at my NEXT one. (Go figure). Any opinions of Pop Century vs. Coranado Springs?

Love CSR! Many great deluxe type options at a mod price.

For starters, CSR has a great main pool area.

They also offer business class rooms (club level lite) with lounge access.

CSR has queen beds, a sliding wooden door separating the sink area from the room (can be good for little ones napping in a pack n play) but only one sink.

Amenities include a fitness center, spa, free wi-fi, tanning beds, a sauna, salon, full menu room service and a night/dance club.

The resort offers the same toiletries as the deluxes (except GF). CSR has separate shampoo and conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo at the other mods and values (a small thing, I know, but it means I don't have to pack shampoo and conditioner).

CSR has the largest hot tub of the mods and one of the longest pool slides on Disney property. The pool, slide and playground area is great and all located in one area at the main pool.

Bus service is terrific and is not shared with another resort.

If money's not an issue between the 2 I'd pick CSR in a heartbeat. I'd only pick Pop if you consider yourself a "ark commando" who'd spend as little time in the resort as you need to, and only to shower and sleep. Pop's cute and well-themed and has some tasty snacks n the food court, but if you plan to spend any leisure time enjoying the amenities of your resort, it's not even close to what CSR offers, plus of course the larger room, bigger beds and better bus line.

CSR! We really enjoyed our stay there. Pool was beautiful, I loved the theming and the rooms are great too! Some folks complain about it being a convention resort, but it didn't affect our trip one bit.

We've had a nice stay at Pop too, but given the choice I'd def pick Coronado!

CSR is very large. We have stayed at both CSR and Pop. Honestly I pref. POR over CSR it was so large. Our rooms were far from the dig site so with kids who wanted to hit the pool it was a bit of a hike. The rooms were nice and the resort itself was nice. Bus service from both was about the same. We did see one heck of a fight on Christmas morning at CSR but that was two dads going at it over who was getting on the MK bus first...neither family made it on the bus. I felt so bad for those families..what a way to start your Christmas....but crazy behavior like that could occur anywhere.

I guess It just depends on what your budget allows and what other options you might have with those funds. Either way you can't go wrong

I've seen your pro-CSR posts a few times. I'm trying to convince myself to stay there. We are currently booked at POFQ. The website in your signature doesn't seem to be working. Is there another site I should look to?

Thanks!

I would absolutely go with CSR over POP if it was me. The rooms will provide more space (314 sq ft at CSR and 260 sq ft at POP). The pool is also a big plus for CSR over POP!

I see that you already made your choice, but just wanted to add my thoughts. On our last trip, we were definitely on a strict budget, so I really was torn between a value to save money or a moderate for a more "luxurious" stay. For the amount of money we would be saving, it just didn't seem worth it and we chose CSR. We were lucky enough to get a free dining offer as well. Hands down, the best choice we made for our vacation. I'm a penny pincher and I just don't see myself ever staying at a Value resort. The savings just isn't worth what you give up. I'll probably never stay in a Deluxe either, because I can't justify the expense when I can get the opportunity to stay in a gorgeous Moderate with everything I need and then some.

Great choice! You will be glad you chose CSR.

No comparison - Coronado all the way. stayed there Christmas of 2012 and it was great - many of teh deluxe features wihout the costs. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. resort is very big. kids loved the Aztec pool and teh game room was a favorite. very nice! Downside? very long lines for shuttles coming out of MK But thats because resort holds so many people. - great choice though

Thanks, everyone. Next series of questions: I went with a Standard view from an Orbitz deal. Should I upgrade to Preferred or Water View?

If remaining at a Standard, which two of the following online check-in options should I choose: Ranchos, Cabanas, 1st Floor, 2nd Floor, Near Transportation.
