Which buildings comprise the DVC section of the Polynesian? Are there advantages/disadvantages to any of them? This would be for a deluxe studio standard view. Thanks.
Moorea, Tokelau, and Pago Pago. On a resort map they're the three on the east end, the right side.
Moorea is half standard and half lake (lagoon) view. All of the standard view rooms are pretty good. It and Pago Pago stretch toward the ticket and transportation center so you could end up on the end of resort and close to TTC. Pros and cons to that depending on preferences. Moorea has the DVC laundry room, although it's not bad to get to from any of the 3.
Pago Pago is all standard but half face the parking lot and monorail and those just feel different, so I try to avoid Pago Pago. The rooms on the other side are fine. Also because it's closer to the parking lot it's farther than Moorea to the lagoon, and I prefer walking near the lagoon.
Tokelau is nearest to the rest of the resort, by maybe a 1-2 minute walk. Most views are good. Some look out to stairs of Hawaii and Moorea and that's not great, but the same rooms may have a sideways castle view. Some are near the second pool (Oasis) but it's not as loud as the primary pool (Lava).
My preference order is Tokelau for proximity to main resort and best overall views, then Moorea for not javing parking lot views, then Pago Pago.
And if getting "unlucky" with a parking lot side room, know it's still nice to see monorail zooming by.
