Polynesian beach

You can definitely watch Wishes from the Poly beach. Another place to try: the Grand Floridian. We watched Wishes once from the marina area and it was a great view.

The placement of the fireworks over the castle is better from the Poly. Maybe it's because DH and I were there alone that GF seemed more romantic, but it was a very private spot and a lovely evening, so the GF sticks out in my mind!

Brad, is that you?!

Nope, you don't have to be a guest at the Poly to lounge on their beach. One of our favorite things to do, especially on rainy days, is to resort hop. There's lots of fun discoveries to be made at each of the resorts and resort-hopping along the monorail resorts is particularly easy to do. Have fun!

I may try this during our trip in March I was wanting to leave the kids with grandma at the room one night and have a romantic evening with my darling wife!:D

You really should! My DH and I have done this several times. We have dinner somewhere nice (Narcoosee's at the GF is a favorite!) and then a drink or two (there is a lounge on the second floor of the main lobby at GF, with lovely live music playing), then cap it off with fireworks--it doesn't get (much) better than that!

My husband and I did the same thing. We weren't staying at the Poly but went resort hopping a sat at the pool bar and had a couple of cocktails. It was really nice and relaxing! We plan to do the same this trip!!!:sohappy:

The view is not as great but there is a semi private beach between the Poly and the Grand Floridian that on the walking trail between the two that has a view of the fireworks and it is a bit more secluded and on a good night you may be the only people there! It is near the wedding chappel and the Poly Luau cove. Anywhere at the poly is romantic! Have a great time!
