please help!! Speilberg in MIB question

My brother and I are having a little disagreement, and I would like to prove to him that he's wrong. Could you please clarify if Speilberg appears before the scanners that find the aliens in the other car, or after it? Thanks. Just trying to prove a point.

well speilburg is an alien in the ride, but not by the scanners. He is in the room where you first enter the "city," right past where the space ship is crashed, on the right side. His whole body isn't actually there, but only his head, which is held by aliens on a bench reading a newspaper with a headline that has to do with a t rex invading Las Angeles (from jurassic park II)
