Yeah, like 1-2 minor things that it sounds like weren't really hitting with the public got cancelled. I guess technically that's being widdled down, but I don't get the impression that anyone here actually used/cared about the one thing that got changed from what was originally announced.

TBH if anyone local here actually went during Pixar Fest, they were pretty quiet about it and basically ignored the event in their trip reports.

My sister took a lot of pictures with characters at Disneyland during Pixar Fest. She never watches parades because they keep her from moving from one side of the park to the other. She isn't much on food festivals either. I'm sure of there was a Pixar beer cart, she would be all over it. ;) After that, there isn't much left. Who wants tacky shirts?

The food was mostly terrible. I won't miss walking past/through the Hollywood Backlot hearing random Dua Lipa, Britney Spears and ABBA music playing over the loudspeakers (okay, maybe a little lol but I'd've rather had live bands). The decor was more intrusive than inspiring. And while I am always annoyed at trying to get around parade traffic in any park, I'll admit that Better Together was a very catchy song and the floats were cute. And I cheered for the Turning Red team dancing their tails off in the nearly 100 degree heat to the very end of the last Fest day without losing their enthusiasm. I also enjoyed seeing the latest character additions of Talking Dug and Anger.

But I won't miss the Fest overall. Even though it's extremely annoying to start Christmas in July (hello, Haunted Mansion Holiday) and Halloween in August (hello, merch team filling the stores with orange), those are still better "seasons" than Pixar.

One reason I have a Magic Key is to enjoy repeat viewings of parades and fireworks spectaculars. I especially love Disney parades. So, context established … I was very disappointed in the Better Together parade and was done after one viewing. As for the revised Together Forever fireworks, while I enjoyed the pyro itself the soundtrack for it was the first Disney firework spectacular that I actively disliked. And the decor package for the entire event was unattractive. So there! [See arms folded across chest and severe frowny face.]
