Pirates league desperation...

Sooo... consider it a newbie mistake. Taking our boys to WDW next week and didn't know you had to have reservations for the Pirate's League (I know... I know.). Anyone have any advice on when the best time to try to "walk in" would be and how often they take walk ins? WDW said that it may be possible to get in doing it that way, but there are no promises. Also said to keep checking back to see if there were any cancellations. Of course I'll keep doing that, but what do you think the chances are of there being an opening? Since next week is a super low crowd time, I'm hoping they can squeeze us in. Any advice appreciated! As well as other fun recommendations for 5 and 3 y/o boys. Thanks!

I would keep calling but also just check when you get there - we went in October without a reservation and didn't have a problem getting in. The lady at the desk sent us away for awhile and said to check back in an hour so we did and then were able to get on the list. We still had to wait for awhile for our turn but did get in. Is everyone in your family doing it or just the kids?

We didn't have reservations last march and we walked right up to it and they got my 5yo in almost right away, I wouldn't recommend it but if u stop by they will prob try to get you in, another good thing to do is ask front desk at your resort they can check for openings (at least that's what a friend told us)
