From what I hear, the hurricaine blew the top off of the canopy in front of Test Track. Anyone happen to have any pictures of this???

Yes it happened, no i dont. Its not shady anymore.... the metal structure that held the canopy didnt even move....

Also the shoip in the Lagoon got wrecked. Sales, mast, rigging, all got messed up.

I can't swear to it, but I thought I read in one of the threads that the canopy was taken, not blown, down.

Kelly said it was taken down but every TT worker ive talked to has said it was blown down and was later removed from the track before park open.

Didn't I also read somewhere that the Mermaid Statue from Splash at MGM was damaged? I just sat by it during my last trip...had I known that, maybe I would've paid a little more attention to it! :hammer: I'd like to see a picture of that area as well as the Test Track area...

Ah, gotcha. I think in the early stages there was so much information flying around, it was hard to separate truth from rumor.

I wish I would have known that it was blown down...I would have taken a picture of it! However, even though I was there at 9am the morning after Charley, I didn't even notice it was missing! Bad me!

I didn't see much damage besides downed trees. The overnight CMs did a wonderful job cleaning up the parks! Thank you all!

As I said in the other thread, this was told to me at 7 am in the morning, and the poor guy was kinda looking stunned, and I may have misunderstood. Hopefully they will get it back up soon, cuz that's the "rain location" for all the guests. :lol:
