Loooooong overdue. Can't wait until this goes all over. Even if it's off by a couple minutes, a ballpark figure does wonders for calming the masses as opposed to: "Oh, one should be along soon."

FINALLY!!!! This is something they have needed for a LONG time. Great way to utilize GPS technology and always know where the busses are at, when they'll be there, how long they are taking, etc. etc.

no a lot of people agree with me on this... but I have always thought they should run seperate busses (on-demand) for those in wheelchairs and ECV's. They could be better built to accomodate them and their families, provide more space, etc. and be used as needed (RFID room key access to press a button or even schedule it from a phone, get a bus on the way, see time it will arrive, etc. etc.) I think this could be a win-win if done correctly. This could also make it easier at the end of the day/night for those with and without a wheelchair/ecv to get back to their resorts - just a thought

Wow, I had no idea they were working on this! Hope it can be implemented everywhere, at least at all the resorts if not the parks.

Concept is great! Can't say the same for the design... ;)

Agree with you there. Seeing as this is the first one of these we've seen, I assume they are still in the test phase. If this gets rolled out to each resort, hopefully the graphics and layout get a major reworking.

This is something I have been hoping would be instituted! Can't wait till this is rolled out across the property - especially when waiting for a bus at Epcot to go back to the resort...that always seemed to be the worst park to get out of on a regular basis.....

This was there when we stayed last month. It was horrible! I understand it's new and the CM below the screen were wonderful with it, but it was zero percent reliable. First day the monorail was shut down when we were going to EPCOT. They told us there go catch a bus as GF would be added to the EPCOT buses for the day. The screen the whole day said to take the monorail. Never updated (and after an hour we gave up waiting for the never coming EPCOT bus and took one to the TTC) We waited for a bus to DHS for 40 minutes watching the "arrival time" just tick one minute later every minute that went by. The CM said they installed gps trackers on every bus to gauge arrival times but with traffic and extra waiting at the stops, he wasn't sure how accurate it would ever be. Still a nice idea though.

He told me the AoA was getting it next, but not sure.

Yup. I saw the screen when I was waiting for a bus at the GF last week. When I arrived, the screen said that a bus for DAK would be arriving in 5 minutes. That time slowly crept up, minute by minute, until it reached a peak of 15 minutes, then started to shrink. Adding in the original 5 minutes, the bus actually took more than 20 minutes to arrive.

So rather than guessing and having a tiny sliver of hope that the next bus to round the corner is the one you're looking for (rather than the 3rd empty bus in a row to a destination no one at the stop needs), you're left with feeling your heart sink (and expectations diminish) as you have visual evidence that the bus you're awaiting just isn't coming anytime soon.

Until they can actually fix the overall transportation system, what the screen provides is just a different variety of despair.

I have been asking for something like this for the past 2 years. It looks like they have a lot of bugs to work out, but if they ever get it going reliably, if they added it to the Mobile App, it would really help people maximize their time instead of having to wait for a bus.

FINALLY! People can stop sitting at bus stops complaining about when the next bus is coming, they can physically see when it's coming now! I love it :) Can't wait until it's all over the world

If they get it working in a reliable manner, awesome!

Having said that, since 2007 I've been to WDW for 10 trips of at least a week, and rarely had issues with wait time. We've always stayed on site, visit parks daily, stayed at 6 different resorts, and have waited more than 20 min. for a bus once or twice. The average wait time has probably been 10-12 minutes. One trip, I actually tracked all bus wait times for the week after reading complaints on here, and the average was 12 minutes. :)
