Phased Reopening Dining: The Best?

Under the phased reopening of Disney Springs and DVC Resorts, if you were there, where would you eat to get the quintessential (or best) Disney dining experience?? Is the location, menu, or experience most important for you??

For location and menu, we've already done it: The Boathouse, on the boardwalk out back, but under the roof rather than at a table with an umbrella. Sushi-grade tuna for me; lobster roll for she. It was wonderful.

I think, though, that I don't put *meal* experiences at the top of my list. Rather, I prefer social experiences which are best fostered at the lounges (Territory Lounge, Geyser Point, Victoria Falls, Tutto Gusto, ...) I'm really looking forward to when we and our friends feel comfortable enough to get back together around an couch-and-table arrangement (hopefully trying out Jock Lindsey's, Trader Sam's, or La Cava).

I don’t think the “experiences” will be particularly relevant for the time being.

If you’re talking about TS restaurants, it would be a combination of menu and whether or not I could get a reservation.

The wording on the WDW site suggests that reservations are strongly suggested at the resorts and that you may not be permitted to resort hop without one.

And since the ADR system is currently up and running only for Disney Springs locations, there will be a scramble for reservations for the opening days when they do eventually open them up.

I just randomly tried just now for 60 days from today and most of the resort locations that are definitely opening are not even on the system. And there are some locations on it that aren’t opening.

I first look to the menu. The most important part is whether I am going to enjoy what I order. I actually have avoided restaurants just because I didnt see anything on the posted menus that interested me. Dining experience can attract me after that if its going to be entertaining or add enough to the enjoyment of my meal. Location is last. I'll travel anywhere on or off site to dine if its a place I am eager to experience.
If I was to dine now at DS I'd want to go to The Boathouse, one of the restaurants I was looking forward to have a meal at before our trip was cancelled.

Beaches & Cream
Homecomin'

I need to try this Homecomin'. But I am torn between Homecomin' for the Disney Springs experience and Topolino's for the Disney Resort experience. And as much as I enjoyed Beaches & Cream, I enjoy it so much more when I am stayed at Yacht, instead of as a visitor.

We really liked Wine Bar George when we visited back in January. It's not a Disney experience in the way that we normally think of Disney experiences, but we there are things you can order that make it more of an experience. This was my friend's flaming cheese...

She also had a wine flight and he did a phenomenal presentation of all three.

Now, if we're talking about experience beyond the food (but where you can also get good food) and look to the DVC resort restaurants slated to open, Sanaa and Topolino's would probably be my choices.

Homecomin' brunch is phenomenal - especially after running 13.1 or 19.3 miles :)
