Pen or sharpie for autograph book??

A regular ball point pen, a fine point sharpie marker or an ultra fine point sharpie marker?

What the best to use for these? If I use/bring a sharpie will it soak through the other pages??

I like a sharpie or a really fat pen so gloved characters can hold it!

AWESOME question!! Never thought of that before. I'm going to have to vote for the Sharpie as well.

I prefer sharpie over the pen. It's easier for characters such as Mickey and Minnie to use. Usually it does not leak through the page. Sometimes the sharpies can be a little messy though depending on how one handles them.

I'll probably bring 2 sharpies and use something in between the pages. I just worry about it soaking through.

I got a set of like 8 colored sharpies so Cinderella could sign in blue, Aurora could sign in pink, Tigger could sign in orange, Mulan could sign in red, etc.

We didn't have that problem, but it's a good idea. Maybe a piece of thin cardboard.

We used Sharpies and they did not leak onto the next pages. We had various colours. One note - CM at Phineas & Ferb meet and greet wouldn't allow the children take the green marker near the charatcter. We were told all of the other colours were fine but the grren doesn't come out if it gets onto the character?

Go one better than an autograph book.....do a white baseball cap with the different color sharpies! Makes it a fun activity!

We bring a giant pen, it makes it a lot easier for the non face characters to hold it. The kids like it too because the characters almost always react to how big the pen is.

The large Sharpie black color is what the "characters" prefer I believe.

I took a pack of big colored Sharpies when I took my niece and nephew a couple years ago. When we went to the parks we only took a couple different colors with us, but when we did character meals, we laid several colors on the table and let the character pick the one they wanted to use. Made for a little extra special interaction. Didn't have any trouble with the Sharpies leaking through, and the bigger pens were easy for them to hold.

It all depends on what you want signed. Pens are great for the autograph books, Sharpies are great for photos, t-shirts, & hats!

I prefer the sharpies myself (and we usually do bring a few colors just to mix up the autograph book a little). They've never leaked through any autograph books we've ever used. I like the clickable sharpies (they don't have caps) but they seem to be hard to find now (but that may just be where I live). They're great for children because you don't have to worry about losing the cap/cover to the marker.

Definitely have heard other reports that they have issues getting the green out of the wardrobe for the characters, while they seem to have mastered all the other colors.

Thick felt-tipped marker with thin point for us because it's not permanent ink like a Sharpie is.

Ultra fine sharpies are the best. easy to hold and they ultra fine tip makes easy to write letters so you can read them!
