Panama Canal with kids

We have done the Panama on other lines before kids, but we are thinking about doing it again with kids on DCL. On the longer cruises there are obviously less children, but does anyone have any experience? I don't want to drop them off at kid's club (their main reason for wanting to go) and there be two other kids.

Thoughts?

What ages? There will be other kids. But nowhere near a typical 7 day cruise. Probably 150-250 instead of 800-1,000. The time period has at least a little impact on this. And the population will most likely be skewed towards the younger ranges (tougher for the older to miss two weeks, especially at end of school year on WB).
