Osborne Lights Pictures

On my trip last weekend, I went to the Disney-MGM Studios on sunday (November 14) and they turned on the Osborne Lights! We were back in the big city/New York street area and suddenly the streets just lit up. I snapped a few pictures and I thought I'd share them with y'all. I apologize in advance for the quality. I took them flashless and they came out a little blurry because I had a hard time holding the camera completely still.

Here is a link to the pictures (they're in my photo album): http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=11672

Good times

Thanks for the pics. They look great! I am really glad they moved this to somewhere that is appropriate. Can't wait to see it in person sometime soon.:xmas: Do they still pump the snow out on New York St?

..

Yep, they still have the snow come down on New York Street. Not a night goes by that I don't get that soap in my mouth while working SoL...haha

I was there for it two years ago and saw the remarkable and amazing array of lights they had. Thanks for bringing back the wonderful memories!

Nice photos!

I'll make a confession.

This is a secret between the entire Internet and me okay?

I've never, in person, seen, lit-up, the Osbourne Family lights display at the Disney-MGM Studios.

 Feel free to throw tomatoes. . .

Thanks a bunch for the pics! -I can't wait to see it all in person!

I, like grizz, am yet to see them as well.. Looks great though! <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/cowzilla11/smiles/cool.gif">

ps- maybe it's just me, but doesn't it seem pretty crowded for that area of the park at that time of night seeing that the SoL event hadn't "officially" started yet?

You're all very welcome for the pictures.

My only guess about the crowds is that it was during super soap weekend and some of the final autograph sessions were still going on in the area.

How does the finished product look? Now that it's actually open, has any more been added on? Do they still give out those little glasses that make the angels appear around the lights?

Just saw it tonight. How depressing when compared to the original on Residential Street. This one felt soo much shorter (for obvious reasons). Does anyone have any hard facts on how much shorter it is in this incarnation?

^^I've been lead to believe that the actual number of light bulbs is about the same as before. But because the buildings are so much higher and there are so many that are just tightly bunched together vs a few small buildings generously spaced out, it makes the actual trip through the lights a lot shorter. Since Residential Street isn't a choice for the lights anymore, I'm thrilled to see them back in some fashion. They are still a sight to behold either way and I personally wouldn't want NO lights at all again. There really is nowhere else they could put them and I wouldn't have suggested holding onto a few facades from 80's/early 90's TV shows for a month long holiday event when that land could be used for something much more substantial year round.
