It doesn't fit at all. In fact, everything about the project is what Walt was trying to stay away from. The Golden Oak subdivision is just a real estate play.

I've read a few Walt Disney bios but don't understand what the reference to "trying to stay away from" is about. Can someone explain what Walt Disney was trying to stay away from?
