Opera

My wife is an opera singer (classically trained) - not just chorus either. We have been playing with an idea recently.

The idea is this: She wants to be a Disney voice and we aren't sure how to go about it. She doesn't want to work at a park or anything like that, just be a disney voice - singing obviously preferred. Now, don't get me wrong, she sings everything - Opera, Classical, Standards, Top 40, literally everything.

So where do we start? Should I just call the hotline? Is there anywhere else to do it as well?

Or is the hotline the only place?

Thanks.

in all honesty, for WDW positions, the only auditions listed are in the Audition Hotline (407-397-3220).

Some information,

your wife will be represented by the Actors' Equity Association.. pay is $12-$13/hr.

Contracts go by days, w/ 8 hours pay per day in the contract.

Contracts are not guaranteed, and as a sub, you are just on call.

Benefits are provided through Disney, and cover spouse...

nothing else I can think of right now

12-13/hr huh?

That seems low for the industry. I'll let her know though...

it is... believe me.. it's ridiculously low. Few people work at Disney for the money though. Not to mention... Orlando has a really low cost-of-living, compared to most other major metropolitan areas
